Have they sent these out to everyone 🤣 Joking aside I've always like the onetigris products. I was going to buy there small tipinova tent a while back but bought the banshee instead for more options. Happy hot tenting Dan 👍

Hi is there a smaller lightweight stove for a similar price do you know? Thanks.
@CampLifeBushcraft4 жыл бұрын
Titanium folding drives are the best, but they are very expensive
@jossthomas1234565 жыл бұрын
I really fancy one of these, I like the idea of lightweight hot tenting. Well lightweight to an extent.. I do actually fancy making my own stove as a metalworking project, something a touch smaller than the Outbacker. Looks a great set up there Dan. Atb Joss
@CampLifeBushcraft5 жыл бұрын
I'm guessing if you make a stove you'd need to strike a balance between size and how often you'd have to add wood. my stove could be a bit smaller but if its too small it wouldn't burn for long. I hope you decide to make one, I'd be interested in seeing the build process. have a good weekend mate : )
@jossthomas1234565 жыл бұрын
Camp Life bushcraft yeah for sure. I would like to build one without having to learn to weld.. so it would be drilled and bolted to assemble. My friends have an outbacker for a 9man tipi, its incredible the heat in can throw out. As for a self build it, the trick would be to make an effective vent system to make a controllable slow burn.. that and burning the right wood of course.. here on the mountains there can be a fair bit of of Hawthorn and Yew deadwood, which lasts a good while on a fire compared to Birch, for example👍

Does the bug net come with a jack opening for the chimney?
@CampLifeBushcraft4 жыл бұрын
alanmchale1 no it does not. I think it’s assumed the bug net is for summer camping.

a very nice looking tent but these lightweight tents always bother me if a rouge spark lands on them, is the material fire prof or fire retardant? atb
@CampLifeBushcraft5 жыл бұрын
Hey John, no I think the material would melt like a lightweight tarp, I guess it is the trade off on weight which appeals to some.
@johnkelenfoldi3505 жыл бұрын
@@CampLifeBushcraft myself would have the extra weight known that it is proven security if a spark hits it
@bigsmalls83395 жыл бұрын
That’s what repair tape is for. Gonna eventually get a few holes in any tarp or tent used with fire near it
@steveoutdoorsuk17885 жыл бұрын
Blinding review Dan! Even though it's common sense for most people I still reckon imo it's important to make everyone aware of the importance of using a carbon monoxide detector whenever using a hot tent! Looking forward to watching your overnighter in this tent. As always, thanks for sharing Dan. Atb. Take care, Steve. 👍👍
@CampLifeBushcraft5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Steve. You are right about the detector, I'll be mentioning it in the overnight camps.
@themiwoodsman72225 жыл бұрын
nice setup, i was looking at them wanting to buy one but I'm am curious how it will hold up to sparks? it looks perfect for one man! thanks for sharing Dan. atb john
@CampLifeBushcraft5 жыл бұрын
Hey John, it’s very thin and lightweight material, I’m not sure it would take sparks very well, but using a sealed stove in it should cancel that issue out. If you just had a fire out front I guess you’d have to treat it like a ultra light tarp. And keep your repair tape handy. Thanks for watching bud ATB Dan

Looks like those One tigres tents are really 'hot' at the moment, they're popping up everywhere on outdoorsy vids from the UK. The mark 2 will probably have optional garage space for the Landy & alcove for the kitchen sink.😂
@CampLifeBushcraft5 жыл бұрын
‘Hot’ I see what you did there 👌 They are pretty good to be fair, I do wonder if it’s cost effective for the companies, they do seem to send loads out. Not that I’m complaining 😇

How long did you have to wait for the stove to cool down enough to be able to pack up?
@CampLifeBushcraft5 жыл бұрын
Not too long, I chilled for a bit, but once I wanted to pack up I dug a hike and poured the coals in and put them out, then kicked wet leaves over the stove and left it 10 minutes. It was cold after that.
@boonster5 жыл бұрын
Good one Dan. I've also watched Simon's review, cracking bit of kit. Do you still think you can get two people in as well as the stove? Thanks for a cracking channel too. 👍🏻
@CampLifeBushcraft5 жыл бұрын
I think you could get 2 in it with a stove, but it would be a bit of a squeeze. I'm planning a trip with a mate over winter using it. so I'll know for sure after that.

I don't know if One Tigris advertises their products the same on the UK version of Amazon as it does on the USA version. I've checked out this Smokey Hut tent before and wasn't too happy with the lack of options of colors and whether the inner mesh liner would be included. On the USA version, the tent with the mesh is only available in OD Green. If I want the Coyote Brown color, I'd have to buy the inner mesh liner separately at a much greater combined cost. So, I'd like them to advertise their gear with a better selection of colors and combinations there on Amazon...and not charge so much extra if each are purchased separately.
@CampLifeBushcraft5 жыл бұрын
when I looked the inner was sold separately and it was pretty pricey to be fair.. not sure I would buy both, I'll probably get the most use from just the outer part. it's weird they sell both for one colour only.
