One of our favorite parks. We walked the lake trail a month or two ago .Was so stunningly beautiful. Helen is just a gorgeous town too! We've been there often.

State and Provincial parks are the hidden gems that in a lot of cases rival many national parks...the Provincial parks here in my area are where I head to first for some great hiking...dropping in to say hello from Nova Scotia, Canada...hope you are having a great weekend...

I love the campsites at the Georgia State Parks!

Georgia has a state park system second only to Florida IMHO. The biodiversity is stunning, terrain changes dramatically from South to North, and government has invested heavily in recreation to bolster tourism. That, along with some very friendly people, make Georgia a wonderful place to visit. We have never been disappointed (but we also stay out of Atlanta). LOL

Is there places to park an RV in Helen? I’m assuming the walk from unicoi would be too long or on a main road???

full hook ups as with sewer? a Georgia state park employee told me none of Georgia’s state parks have sewer hook ups. she could be wrong. nice video!!

There is only one section with full hook-ups! I tried to show a few of those sites, but yes I was surprised too and its the only state park in GA I know of that does. Maybe some other but I don't know of any.
