Nobody in the USA says RESIDE. People simply asks "Where do you live?" This is true for both the corporate and the college world.

Give up and quit are two completely different words and are not interchangeable. Also you can never use reside to say that I reside in India. You use reside only when you want to talk about your residence, your home. Every word has its own meaning. Find out the correct meaning before using it blindly.

Explode v,s Blow-up regarding a plan will never substitute failed, chum,,explode and failed are two entirely different scenarios,so I have to disagree. Unless this is some dialect reference in the usa,, in fact you might get a giggle here if you said that,,,sorry but I disagree with some of your substitutes.

Jeeze,, I hope you are referring to a higher level corporate , chum,,otherwise you will alienate half of the staff/employees..good luck wit that ,,,but no one wants to exchange communication in those terms is my experience in a call center, or a sales meeting. Unless you are targeting a specific business arena, or some hierarchal strata, I,d make it clear from the get go.
