I don't understand why he torqued the bolt , then hit it with a 1/2 inch impact gun ?

I used torque wrench to tighten bolt and add 90° angle using impact wrench. Its not correct way sorry for that.

The one Apple. 2014 up to 2021 the engine is the same design and similar tahoe yukon. Active valve lifter issue, and not all engine affected for this problem.

Used bolt 48ftlbs plus 55 degrees

How do u prime the oil pump ?

GM model from 2010 up to now there's no procedure for prime the oil pump manually. The important if you are rebuild an engine you must check the oil clearance in correct specification. And then apply a liberal amount of clean engine oil in all bearings journal in the final installation. Also the oil pump apply an engine oil inside before installing.
