Hey Nick, do you have any content or videos relative to the reason that short videos will ramp up in views and likes and shares and then just flat line at a certain point? I only bring this up as to some videos I’ve had that get more views and likes in a shorter time frame than any other content I have seem to plateau at some point and I’m curious the reasoning behind that. ( I know off topic)
@RottenMelonProductions5 ай бұрын
@@Joltverse this particular short got almost 5,000 views before it flatlined. (Within a few hours…) I’d add a photo to show but it doesn’t appear I’m able to in KZbin replies. 48+ likes (at one point was 50-52 then started dropping to 48??) +2 subs 27 shares and audience to view vs swipe was 56-57%, views 10x what I typically get. The biggest one I had this happened to got 31,000 views. The graph appeared as a stair step. Up then flatlined, then tier 2 up and flatlined, until about 31,000 views.
@RottenMelonProductions5 ай бұрын
@@Joltverse check out your analytics. There is a button on each video and if you go into KZbin studio either via the app on your phone or under your account if on a PC you can get in depth analytics that show real time data and traffic. I still believe the data is slightly delayed. Usually if your views are higher than normal per your analytics you’ll see likes, subs and shares start to populate shortly after. I believe the algorithm pushes to more people the more engagement you obtain. I also believe it’s a small window with short form content, and If you don’t get the results fast it kills your momentum for good unless searched for in the future or discovered by future subs with other videos on your channel. (But these are all my gut instinct reverse engineering based on observation, and I’d love to hear Nicks perspective and analysis)
@NickNimmin5 ай бұрын
According to KZbin, the first 400-ish views on shorts are impressions where they are testing the response. From there it’s all performance based in comparison to how your content competes against other content for that audience.

I do tutorials where I record my screen and talk into a mic. Without some basic audio settings (EQ, normalize, etc), my voice drones on... Does Camtasia have those audio settings or would it allow merging with an audio file from Audacity?
@NickNimmin5 ай бұрын
You wouldn’t necessarily merge the file with audacity but you can export a wav file and then further process it in audacity. But, Camtasia does have audio processing tools like noise removal and normalization to help make things sound better.
@juliegroth34275 ай бұрын
@@NickNimmin Nick, can you set the EQ, Noise reduction and compression at certain levels before recording in Camtasia? I don't want to have to edit the audio later. I just want set those 3 settings at levels that I know make my voice sound good and leave it at that. I'm not recording a band where robust audio editing is necessary. Lol. Now, of course, video will need to be edited afterwards.

This is good timing! I'm returning to my channel after a long hiatus while I finished my MBA. Now that I'm free, I need to get crackin'. I was demonetized because of the new requirement of three videos within 90 days. I'm not surprised that it became a requirement. Fortunately, and for some odd reason, my channel has been picking up steam without me posting anything for over a year. I received over 400 hours of watch time in the last 28 days, over 50 subs, and pretty good engagement. The channel is doing better without me! But I'm sure that's temporary. I satisfy the other requirements to get my monetization back. I am thinking about renaming my channel to 365 Mystic or something else since Microsoft dropped "Office" from its product name; now it's just Microsoft 365. They should have checked in with me first. 😛 I really thought my channel was going to die with the explosion of AI.

Why I often ask for permission for it to be posted. Have you had ears of this happening.? Can you please explain what is the cause of it if you know? Do you know of a way to resolve it at all? I wouldn’t ask, but you seem to know everything that goes on here at you tube so I thought I might bring it to your attention. Here’s hoping this comment gets posted here!

If its happening across multiple channels, and assuming your comments are not in any way inappropriate in terms of KZbin's community guidelines (where they could be getting caught in channel's Held For Review section), then that's a puzzling one and might need you to contact @TeamKZbin on X (Twitter) to get them to take a look.

@tube-master5 ай бұрын
@@NickNimmin you are right if you are reffering to Premiere Pro of FCP. I am using SnagIt since 2009 and Camtasia for 2 years now. What I meant with my previous comment is that there are some tools that have similar, more easy to use features and also AI integrations that speed up the video editing process especially for entry level editors. I know about all the great screen recording features that Camtasia has but for basic recordings you can do it for free with built in apps bot for PC and Mac. I think that the strongest asset for Camtasia is the collaboration suite where you can colaborate with an editor directly from the app. But be aware that there are some new tools like CapCut that are also tapping into this.

They don't target the professional video editor market. You will not find people making a movie or documentary with Camtasia. It targets mostly educators, content learning and why not KZbinrs, or simple website videos, it's focused on easy editing, not professional long-term edition which has a step learning curve. So it will always be behind editors like Premier, Davinci Resolve or Vegas Pro. The irony is that Camtasia is priced the same or more than those products, so if are you are willing to invest in the learning curve, and you need gazillion features, you are better off with one of those options. Camtasia will likely never have all those features because they don't want to overcomplicate its existing users who look for easy and quick editing. And that is perfectly fine. Some people don't want to invest 50 hours learning a new application to create a 5-minute tutorial. Camtasia is straightforward to learn and master, which makes it appealing to many consumers.
