He’s playing the version of Rome from Caesar In Gaul. That’s why he has the Celtic warriors. I play that version of the game a lot so it was easy for me to pick up on, although the base Rome faction doesn’t have those. Edit: It also explains the gen, since you only have the 2 horsemen gens in base Rome.

@@scuchtern4849 I was unaware of it, but I’m explaining the likely reason. Another quirk of the CIG Rome is a large amount of Veteran Legionnaires, which is one of the best units they can field in that version of Rome.

Ceasar felt in a massive ambush of the gallic warriors ... worth while to read the story ! Yes the romans had lots of hired gallic warriors.
