This channel exists to document unit counters within StarCraft 2. Tya's Unit Tournament features epic battles between units in StarCraft 2, using music from the game's soundtrack. Units are chosen from Protoss, Terran and Zerg forces, or a co-op commander such as Raynor, Nova, Artanis, or Kerrigan. Units will independently use their abilities, in a basic way. All units use Legacy of the Void stats, the same units you'd see in SC2 e-sports controlled by the likes of Serral, Maru, and ByuN. The resource beneath vespene is the unit's cost in the mod I run on the SC2 arcade, Direct Strike. Enjoy!

GiantGrantGames taught me that spinlots don't collide with each other when they use their spin attack, so all of them can attack at once, which means that mass spinlots will *mulch* anything they get into melee with. Their only weakness is AoE, since they all stack up when they do that.

If you want to view this from an actual psychological and philosophical perspective it calls into question what is a person? Are we our bodies or are we the sum of our memories? The ship of Thesius paradox calls this into question aswell. So moving foward how would the decisions of the one called Talidars differ from that of Fenix were they both alive in the same situation?

In co-op specific lore, it is stated a Purifier is a "formless AI" that can inhabit empty shells. So it is entirely plausible that a Purifier AI can inhabit multiple bodies at once.

I had every bit of confidence for Talendar in that fight. I was gonna go immortal, but then I remembered the Infested Diamond back's damage. That broodling upgrade is devastating aperently. =/ I had faith in my Templar brethren in that fight

4/4 Was worried when the infested civilian wasn't the campaign one, who slowly slaps for infinity damage and has no leap, but was pleasantly surprised when they made their own army as the fight continued.

Only somewhat true. The infested Diamondbacks had a significant number advantage, and the infested Marines are actually inferior to upgraded Marines against zerglings.

@@rohdri True, infested marines you can pop out *much* quicker in bursts though as stukov, its actually insane, you can get like 200+ marines in seconds, but you gotta wait for them to cross the map but in terms of stats, like 5 marines vs 5 marines? marines win, probably win with equal numbers all the time

Stukky's dimandbacks only won due to skewed investment though, the army was considerably more pricy. Had both armies cost the same, there wouldn't have been enough Diamondbacks to take the victory. So it was more of a how many infested Diamondbacks are needed to take on 200 Immortals kinda battle.

Immortals may be great, but they're up against a Coop unit (which are generally stronger), and outnumbered by 100. If anything, it shows how good they are that they can still put up that much of a fight.

3/4 Never bet against fenix. Easy win Infested diamondbacks surprised me, as I thought the immortals would surely have it. I was pleasantly surprised to lose this one Infested civilians also pleasantly surprised me, even though they had my support. Zealots have good stats, but their one weakness is they can't stack damage like ranged units. Whirlwind zealots somewhat mitigate this weakness with their stacking spins

4/4, technically Talendar. Infested diamondbacks have strong anti armour and good durability, slthpigh less than the immortals. The fact they outrange and outnumber the immortals and can fire whilst moving, getting incredible damage density really quickly, lets them best the superior stats of the immortals. This is the technically. I voted zerglings because the Infested civilians didn't show the broodling gestation upgrade next to their upgrades. However, the second i saw broodling gestation i knew it was impossible for the zerglings to win. Finally, whirly zealots. The massive AoE can crush the roaches, and the whirly zealots also do better at base than regular zealots against roaches, due to loosing only 1 damage to the roaches armour, instead of 2 like a regular zealot, which adds up quickly. Not so much as to win without whirling, but it's an added bonus.

For the second time, I predicted every battle correctly. Also, I'm guessing "smidlarge" is about 6. I'd expect the protoss to have a base 8 number system and that smidlarge is the middle of the large digits (5-7).

This fenix actually has the heroic tag, so he can't be broodlingd. You find the same thing in mass recall (SC1 in SC2), where fenix has been given the heroic tag, removing the broodling cheese.

It's crazy how strong Fenix is. The average Protoss hero is stronger that it's Zerg and Terran equivalent an Talandar is the strongest one. He is supposed to be as strong as army killing Spear of Adun units. Only Odin and Kerrigan can kill him.

Stukov's infested civilians and volatile infested (but not infested marines or infested troopers), once Stukov has unlocked his Level 7 talent, benefit from the Broodling Gestation upgrade from the Infested Colonist Compound (requires Infested Engineering Bay) for 150/150. Broodlings also benefit from Stukov's infantry weapon and armor upgrades.

the hero units isn't entirely true. A week(ish) ago there were ground heroes vs ling flood and the ling flood won a few (it basically comes down to consistent aoe attacks win while 'casted' aoe's would lose)

4/4 fenix vs ultras ? come on, its fenix diamond back vs immortals, i didnt know the stats of the diamon back but i choose them by how the crush armored air units for some reason civ vs ling. Civ has more healt, that the only thing i tought, was wrong but they won anyways whirlwind zealot vs roach. i tought the AoE of the zealots and the fact they loose colision would just crush roaches, they didnt loose colision or the AI didnt take advantage of it, but won anyways
