Can A $18 Bottle of Transmission Fluid FIX Notchy/Crunchy Shifting on My Manual BMW Z3??

Where are you located? My 1997 Z3 shifts well except 2nd gear is not so smooth.

How long can you drive with Notchy shifting???

Doesn’t seem like the car gets unhappy you can continue driving as long as car is going into all gears and not popping out of gear, I just don’t like the feeling. This oil has helped a lot.

is it good on the transmission in the long run to use ATF instead of MTF?

i think its completely safe. ATF is much more thicker and runs cooler than regular MTF. Most modern manual trans also use ATF fluid.

You will need to buy 2 bottles but you will use 1 and a half.

You’re good. No one has time to go through the manual. These videos should serve as quick look ups. Do the change! The shifts become very smooth and you notice it. It is also healthy for your transmission. Good luck man!

My experience- bad brand slave master.....rubber goes bad fast....black goop on slave rod...dark clutch fluid...seen good shifting after bleeding to stop after 8 hours with new parts....more bleeding...better shifts to be gone soon....bad parts cheap brands.....
