Yes, Argentina is a country. The World Cup is kind of like the Olympics where you have countries competing instead of clubs. Messi plays for PSG in the french league but he also plays for his country Argentina. The international tournaments happen when the leagues are on break.

Luton have always been a big club-they’ve won several major trophies. Luton is a massive town, almost a city, and they’ve always had a big following. They also played in the old first division (what the prem used to be) in the 80s. They had players like Mick Harford, Ricky Hill and Brian Stein who were underrated, nearly elite talents. Source: I live the next town over.

The magic of the FA Cup isn't so much the smaller teams winning it (Like Wigan in 2013, the same year the got relegated from the Prem), but the teams in the lower leagues pulling off giant-killings against the big boys, like United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea, losing to Crewe, Rushden & Diamonds, Grimsby Town, etc. Those matches can be massive for the smaller clubs, not only financially, but by writing themselves into local and or national folklore.

Each country has its own league / season and it has several divisions. Good to keep in mind that for most of the week these players train at match intensity too. So it’s pretty much everyday. Seasons usually start around august and end in May. There are international breaks but those are just players going to play for their countries. And at the end of a season there’s pretty much always a big international tournament taking place so these guys never really get an extended break. Shows how incredible the determination and work ethics are

FIFA. 19:19 no, the championship is still one of the twenty most followed leagues in world football even though it’s not the Prem. Each team has thousands of fans and the players still earn millions. Even down to the national league, teams still have dedicated fanbases. The reason there are so many leagues is because there are hundreds if not thousands of clubs in England. Every town/village has its own team. Cities will have multiple clubs, usually one for each district or neighbourhood (imagine Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, Harlem, etc. each having a team). Imagine they’re always playing each other multiple times a year. Imagine how intense the rivalries would get. That’s the football leagues in a nutshell.

To answer your question : each country in Europe have all these leagues, because pretty much each big city as well as each smaller town in each of those countries have its own football club (sometimes even several). Even the combined sum total of all those pro/semi-pro/amateur leagues clubs doesn't come close to the total number of football clubs. Football is just that popular of a sport.

in recent times you get 5 Substitutions in the regular 90 minutes. If you have to play extra time (2 x 15 mins) you get an additional sub. 17:20 Messi is from Argentina, therefore he plays in the Argentinian national team. Things like the Coppa America, the World Cup and the Euros are played in a format where each country is represented by one team in a tournament style competition. You can only play in the national team of a country if you're either born there, or got that country's passport. Thus Ronaldo played for Portugal, Messi for Argentina and Mbappe for France. The clubs they play for is completely unrelated to this.
@jacksonconstantine5740
@jacksonconstantine5740 10 ай бұрын
26:44 sort of. Basically there are two stages to a transfer. The transfer fee, and the contract. If a team wants a player, they have to agree to pay an amount of money to that team for the player. This can be done in different ways, usually over several years and there can be performance-based add-ons thrown in too. Not every nation uses release clauses. For example they’re a lot rarer in the UK than they are in mainland Europe, though not unheard of. A player can have their release clause activated, or their club can accept a transfer fee from another team, and then if they find that the other club doesn’t match their contract demands, reject them. That means the deal fails and they stay where they are. The idea is that both the club and the player have to be happy with the move before a player joins a new team. Players also move a lot less than in America. It’s rare for a player to play for more than one team in a season, giving transfers more impact. When a player signs a major deal then they’re are basically agreeing to play for that team for at least four years. There’s also no practice squad and free agency is less common. Elite players will usually have a move already lined up when their contract is expiring. There are however loan deals. This is basically leasing a player for a season. They pay a percentage of the player’s wages and maybe a small fee to the parent club, and in exchange that player will join that club for a season whilst still being under contract with their main team.
@DapoOlasiyan
@DapoOlasiyan 6 ай бұрын
The release clause only means the club who owns you cannot stop a deal. The buying club still has to agree the salary with the player first. Only when they have agreed terms with the player will they trigger the release clause. To give an example. Haarland went to Man City for around 350K a week salary BUT they paid his former club £50M which was the release clause

2:00 Depends. Each country league has its own name, for example in England it's the EPL (English Premier League), and it's run by the FA (Football Association). In Italy, the league is called Serie A, run by the FIGC (Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio). Also, each continent has its organization. In Europe, it's UEFA (Union of European Football Associations). In North America, Central America and the Caribbean it's called CONCACAF (Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football). The world football organization is FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association). 10:35 Yup, it's an own goal, and it counts in favor of the opposing team. 14:35 Might be boring, yes. But effective if done right. The problem is that it's not easy to do. However, that's usually how upsets happen. The small team parks the bus against the bigger team and suddenly counterattacks and scores. 17:07 Argentina is a country. Countries don't belong to any league. Countries HAVE leagues. However, countries do play qualifier tournaments to get into the World Cup. Messi is from Argentina, and plays for both the Argentina national team and for Paris Saint-Germain, a French team. Cristiano Ronaldo is from Portugal, and played for both the Portugal national team and now only plays for Al-Nassr, a Saudi team. Before, they both played in the Spanish league: Messi for Barcelona, Ronaldo for Real Madrid. These are the top two teams in Spain. 27:13 Salary and release clause are all agreed on when a transfer is set. Since players are usually the ones who decide they wanna leave the team, everything has to be contemplated during negotiations. A team can't just come up with an offer for a player, and then see if the player accepts the salary that's offered. Talks are carried out between the buying team and the player (or their representative).

Haha football games are only 90 minutes, 2x45 minute halves. Its still a long time to be running but one of the best parts of football is that you can know that in 90 minutes plus a 15 minute break at half time the match will be over most of the time, unlike american football where theres ads constantly and breaks and the game could be short or extremely long.

In England there have been 4 Trebles and no Quads Liverpool have 2 trebles 1984 and 2001(84 = League Title, League Cup and Champions league, 01= League Cup ,FA Cup ,Europa League) Manchester United have 1999 (99 = League Title, FACup and Championsleague) and Manchester City have 2019 (19 = League Title FA Cup and League Cup) Manchester City look like they could do a Treble this season they have won the League title and are in the finals of the Champions League and FA cup Liverpool have gotten the closest to winning a Quad as they won the FA Cup and League Cup but lots the Champions league final and the League title on the final day. I think Quads have been done in Spain and Italy and Germany. At the moment the best League is the Premier League but in the 80's and 90's it was Serie A in Italy, in the 00's-10's it was La Liga in Spain, so in a few years it could be Germany or Italy and Spain again or even France (another big league that is not bad but not great now but has potential to be a huge league)

Note: Every player plays for a Club-team (lets call it a day job) they compete in leagues. The National Teams consists of the best players from that speciffic nation (like the usa, canada, England, Argentina, Brazil... and so on...) They only compete in Tournaments like the World Cup (if they qualify) or Continetal tournaments like the Euros, copamerica, afcon. and so on. The national team is as it says specifikt to that nation and the leagues are somewhat multinational due to players coming from abrouad to play for the a club in that League. The Premier League has a rule that every teams squad must consist of a % of "Homegrown players" theese are player from either their academy or English players (the acadamy players does not have to be English to count as homegrown).

I'd like to say, 4 months later, that we don't make fun of players for falling and staying on the ground, at the end of the day, it's strategic so the referee considers it a fault, he stops the game and gives them the ball. However, we do make fun of them when some (ahem Neymar ahem), drops to the ground for everything, trying to make it pass as a foul when he was barely touched.

Every country has a different association with a different name, every continent has a different confederation with a different name, and then there's FIFA which is the same thing on a global scale

from my knowledge Celtic from Scotland is the only team in the world (or at least Europe) to win a quadruple and the most recent treble winner is Manchester City in this 2022/2023 season

soccer is not that complicated man. If you can remember how many outs in an inning then you can remember that you need to get the ball in the goal.

FIFA. He wondered why there are so many leagues. Fotball (Soccer) is the biggest sport in the world so thats not that suprising. Also the different leagues he showed are just the once that are considered as the pro leagues and no where even close to the amount of leagues there are in EU Fotball. If we take that FA cup in England for example where 700 teams entered and we assume 20 teams per league thats 35 leagues in England alone and thats assuming that every single team entered which they dident so the number would be even higher. Ofc alot of those leagues are gonna be amateur teams. U could easily create multiple leagues from around any city with the amount of teams there are available to join. So the question isent why are there so many leagues/teams in EU. The real question is why are there so few leagues that are considered pro American Fotball in America? I dont follow American Fotball so maybe i´m wrong but from what i have seen ppl say online and random sports clips over the years the only 2 leagues that seems to be worth anything and even mentioned in America is Pro Fotball and College Fotball. Your sport pretty mutch stole Sunday from god and the church and there are only 2 leagues that are consider pro in the entirety of America, Explain that.

The Champions League does not take every champion in Europe. The 4 biggest leagues deliver 4 to 5 clubs. That's atleast 16 teams. Actual champions from smaller countries have to go trough a play-off system. For instance, Liverpool won 1national championship in years, but in the mean time they won 2 champions leagues. This system prevents smaller leagues to enter the Big Money League. Italy's number 4 could have 30 points less than the champion, and still automatically qualify. Before this system., smaller teams did win the European Cup (now called Champions League), or reached the quarter/half finals.

In recent years the best championship is the Spanish one, in the 70s-80s and 90s it was the Italian one. The English league is the most historic, but the level is very high in all major European countries. South America produces more champions but all the best players come to Europe, so even if the rest of the world plays almost everywhere, the European leagues are of a higher level.

In term of competitiveness in the league, the English Premier League is probably the best in the last decade. But Spanish league has the best teams in Europe: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla, Atletico Madrid.

Man seriously didn't know Argentina is a country 😂 Don't think you understood the transfer concept very well either, you're not buying out their contract but rather purchasing them as an asset. The highest transfer fee ever paid was for Neymar at 220 million euros

You should have heard of Manchester City. As of 2023 they have won 5 of the last 6 Premier League titles and in 2023 the completed the Treble of Premier League, FA Cup and European Champions League (this is only the second time the treble has been won). Nobody has ever done the Quadruple. Last season Man City played 61 games all told. His comments about Transfers and the Release clause are somewhat misleading. It would require another video to explain that fully.
