What we learned from this is Tesla is killing competition...I work for competitor and Tesla is just way ahead of us on everything. They built safer cars, all electric avoiding fossil fuel criticism, autonomous features built in, the futuristic setup appeals to new generations, car has a built in functions which help disabled people (huge market) and I don't think the specifically targeted that market. New cybertruck is armoured, bulletproof - some companies are struggling to make armoured cars. What is more the manufacturing being more efficient gives them another advantage...shame I can't afford a Tesla just yet.

I remember when I first saw this video, and how it changed my views on advancements in technology. At first when I heard of "self driving" cars. I just thought of how it'll reduce accidents from people who aren't good drivers, but this opened my eyes to how it can benefit people who don't have the same abilities as us. And how that can prevent them from living a normal life. Advancements in technology don't only make the average person's life easier. It also gives people the ability to live a more normal life, and to me that's beautiful.
@doctorcorgi31344 жыл бұрын
As of right now I can think of how this can benefit a friend of mine. She has absence seizures, and that makes it to where she spaces out for periods at a time. She can't speak, move, or anything like that. Kind of like that girl from Rango how she would freeze up. Except my friend would freeze up without warning, so that would make it more difficult to notice when it has happened. If she had a car like this that would be amazing.

Untill now I hadn't even thought of how some of Tesla's features would benefit the disabled community! *:O* I'm a hardcore petrolhead, but even I agree that for the _general public_ EV is the way forward.
@Schpoople6 жыл бұрын
Brodie Bennett personally I don’t see how the features of a Tesla specifically can benefit me more than my normal combustion engined car BUT I’d kill to drive one. The hand controls I have in my Stinger GT are very similar to the ones in this video. Some cars are a lot harder to install hand controls than others. It’s nice to know a Tesla is possible. My car has enough power to keep me satisfied for now but the INSTANT TORQUE is a game changer for drag racing and driving in general. I’ve been typing this while watching and just saw the parking section of the video. The parking feature. Oh my god I wouldn’t have to worry about handicapped parking. I’ve had to leave family and friend events because I was physically unable to get out of my car. To not worry about that everywhere I go would be amazing.
@teovm6 жыл бұрын

My wife is in a chair very similar to Cambry's (even down to the Round Betty wheels). This video is extremely encouraging! While she's not yet driving again after 3 strokes last summer, knowing that her chair so easily fits in the trunk, AND that if/when she chooses to start driving again, that Summon, AutoPilot, and eventually Full Self Drive will help her regain her independence is huge. Just yesterday, I tried to get her chair into a Chevy Bolt during an extended test drive, and there wasn't room for anything else AND my rear visibility was hampered. Add to that the limited driving aids in that car, and it was a no-go. Model Y may offer more chair room, but it's nice to know the 3 is an option.

This is awesome Zack, so glad you did this video to make other's aware of the difficulties disabled people have. Also showing the genuinely life changing features Tesla have implemented into their cars, not just as a gimmick, but to change the way people can function each day. The autopilot feature is to also help reduce fatigue during long journeys on the highway / motorway, thus making it safer when coming off onto normal roads as you should be less tired. One last thing, Tesla don't have 'dealerships' as per say, as you can't buy a car at their showrooms. You still have to do it online.

That's why every KZbin video has dislikes. You can make the cure for cancer then a documentary about it and people will dislike it because no one has yet to do it. Edit: I did not dislike the video just wrote "yea I did that!" to theories what they possibly feel. Just notice now that the way i structure my comment was a bit off.

You maybe surprised at how lots of disabled people are actually lot more positive and energetic than some of non-disabled folk. My first job was working for homes for disabled people.
