Thank you so much for having me Gideon! This was so fun to make & can’t wait to keep practicing my cockney accent 😂

@NatashaIbrahim You were amazing thanks for taking part. It was such fun. Next time I'm in Covent Garden I'll be sure to buy a flower from you.

Don't bother with a "cockney" accent...you need to try a "Geordie" accent. Now that will be a real challenge!

If you ever asked me how a man from London with a Cockney accents looks and how a girl from Texas looks I would have never come up with these 2.

No, in America we don't say "vays" unless we're referring to a plain, no frills receptacle for the expressed purpose of holding cut flowers and water. We say 'vahz' if it's pretty even if there's nothing in it. Ming Vahz, Glass vays.

TX girl here, also abroad! On BBC, various podcasts, most of the speakers have an 'Elmer Fudd' accent. R sounds like W And 'th' sounds like 'f' 'Bwown' and 'free' (for 3) This is so interesting to compare 'regional cockneys' that I am hearing on the BBC. I'm going to practice 'innit' especially since people think I'm from England just because I speak English. They don't hear my TX /USA accent 🤔

It's only southern England that pronounces 'a' differently in some words. The rest of the UK has one way to pronounce short 'a' and sticks with that

She did really good for 15mins practice. Given a few days, she could probably outdo most American actors in movies....... one thing Gideon was you taught a lot of complex stuff like vowels but missed some easy basics such as ME instead of MY, no G on the end of ING... also one thing I find with Americans is teaching how Tomato, Actor, Elixir and Water all rhyme in cockney always amazes them - similarly Pool, Paul and Pull being pronounced identically.
