We test out the all new Ford Bronco off road! Not in Moab this time, or the Rubicon Trail like last time, but at the Bronco Off Roadeo in Texas! It's essentially an off roading crash course, with trails and obstacles specifically designed to help you learn all about your new Bronco & what it can do off pavement! If you bought a Bronco, this is absolutely worth checking out!
Hope you all enjoy the video!

I like what Ford is doing, but some of this new technology actually takes the fun out of off-roading. I rented a JLUR a couple of years ago that made me feel like I didn't have to do any work. I'll stick with my XJ for now, at least it still gives me some challenge and makes me learn how to actually drive on the trails.

Can you imagine if we had stayed with the early broncos V8 horsepower, and said no need for new technology 🙄 ...
@LiteBrite
@LiteBrite 3 жыл бұрын
For someone who already has the experience, they might not prefer the tech (and you can order one without it). But we believe the technology is an incredible learning tool for those who are new to off roading. Learning through error and mistakes is one way trails can ultimately get shut down. Better for a novice drive to be better equipped and more knowledgeable (like by learning at the off Roadeo) about what their rig can and cannot do on the trails.

What a Cutie! And the girl driving is pretty too...! I really like the 2door proportions; reminds me more of the old Bronco. Ford really had a great marketing scheme back in the beginning with the Mustang, then Maverick, Pinto and Bronco. "..Not a jump..". Kevin says "Watch this! Guy says "25, 25". Kevin rolls up window.."25 my a$$..!" LOL! Still, wondering how all those electronics will hold up over time. LiteBriteNationSaddlesUp!

Nice video. I've always been and will always be a Jeep guy. I love collecting and restoring them. But I can see how the Bronco can earn a really nice following. I'm not gonna sit here and hate on Fords or Jeeps. I'm just happy the Government hasn't been able to outlaw off-roading yet (they tried in the past). The more the merrier as far as I'm concerned. You two kids keep up the good work.

Well done Ford, developing their market, creating a Bronco culture & following. In the UK Land Rover still do the two level training sessions for new vehicle owners & other customers. Which I have attended a few times through work. Great learning opportunities & fun too. In 2019 I attended a Ford Ranger familiarisation training day through the local Ford dealer which pushed the Ranger to their limits and building confidence in driving them off road. Well done Lite Brite in showing this great approach by Ford in introducing the Bronco training and appreciating the new technology. I can see Lite Brite providing training days in the non too distant future. Go Lite Brite!

Back when I passed my license, my instructor took me on a snowy parking, told me to turn then to be hard on the brake. He said, now you see what it does and why you should not do that on the road. Then he taught me other things that can happen. As far as I know this was not an 'official' course. It totally should be. Props to all of those who teach people the basics of what can happen. On the road, the trails, the tracks or anywhere, everybody can drive. But how many can react correctly to a certain event?

Too bad Kevin's first suggestion was to turn on the front and rear lockers on a little hill. Learning driving skills and driving techniques are great replacements for a V-8, lockers, and 40s! And, I bet that engineer from Bilstein had a lot more cool stuff to say if he had been given a chance! When you're given a great opportunity to learn sometimes it's better to listen and not talk.

I wish some would tell Ford that if the are going to put a “stinger” looking loop in the front, they could at least lean it out so it looks cool. I get that it is probably supposed to be a “grill guard” and or mount point for clamp style off road lights, but it just doesn’t help the look. For the goat modes or crawl modes I wonder if it would be better instead of labeling them snow, ruts and sand then rock just have low, medium and high. Snow wheeling is not always the same, it depends on temp, depth and if it has been plowed or rutted out and refrozen. Knowing what it is doing can be more important to me. That ride looks so smooth.

It would have been great to see Jeep do this with their Trailhawk vehicles, but then they would have had to preface any use of the included standard features with "If the dealership sees you using this feature and something breaks, they will void your warranty and refuse to work on it" as had happened many times to my brother's Cherokee Trailhawk and other Trailhawks he's had on public dirt roads that had something like a diff grenade under no real strain at all. He's had to cover the last 2 diffs breaking himself despite just using the standard features nowhere near the level Jeep did to put that badge on the side as well as selling dozens of the Trailhawks for Jeep just because of people seeing it keep up with Wranglers. The standard features that he used to get the complete lifetime warranty voided was low range and the included tow strap, according to the dealership it was "beyond intended use" to use those included features. kzbin.info

I'm waiting until I know my son's college schedule to book one of these, drive my (built yesterday apparently) Badlands down to Vegas, taking the long way past Mono Lake and Lone Pine, that one is more like the terrain I'll encounter here. Great video, if you guys got something out of this, I'm sure me and my son will have a blast!

That was awesome! I would love to do one of those classes. I got 20 years of wheeling experience and that looked cool. 25 mph my ass! Love it Kevin!😂😂😁😁

That trail turn doesn’t look like it helps much, maybe just the way it comes across in the video

4:54 😆🤣 Why would you ever need to disconnect under load?! On a side note I run a Currie anti rock and haven’t needed to touch my sway bar in years. I was gonna stay out of this but then he had to go and take a jab at Jeep 😂 all kidding aside, I’m not hating these are pretty cool.

More often than you’d think! We’ve had a couple Jeeps get tippy because the driver forgot to disconnect the sway bar prior to attempting an obstacle. Backing down to disconnect can sometimes be sketch. 😅😅
