I have a 2023 Porsche Cayenne Coupe GTS in Black. You can put the drive into individual mode which has normal suspension and has the sport exhaust working.Sounds great. Ive ordered a Makaira Gen 3 750 boat. It weighs 2.9 ton dry so this video has given me confidence that the car will tow it easily. On a trip I currently average 9L per 100k's. I guess I won't be achieving that when I'm towing the boat.

Thank you for the video! I have a 2008 Porsche Cayenne GTS but don’t have tow package 🥲 how would I go about getting the tow package added? How much?
@Turn5ive9 ай бұрын
That would be installed by a mechanic and they would have all the information for you!

Does porche have an inboard trailer brake controller, or does one need to install that?
@Turn5ive Жыл бұрын
You need to install one, we have a video explaining the installation if you need help!

Nice. Thanks for the video! I currently tow a 30ft TT with a 2011 GL350 I'm looking at either 2013 Cayenne Turbo or 2015 GL550 as a replacement. Miss the ooomphhh in everyday driving more than Mpg savings I'm getting with the diesel. Still debating!
@Turn5ive4 жыл бұрын
Tyler and I debate often about the benefits of MPGs vs the “ooomphhh” you talk about. For us, the extra get up and go produces more smiles than seeing a good gas mileage figure. I am partial to Porsche, so my advice comes with that bias, but you won’t get a better all around SUV than a Cayenne! I would go with the Turbo, and if you want some extra MPGs, pick up a Tesla for everyday 😁 Thanks for your support!

The Cayenne Diesel has good gas consumption.
@Turn5ive4 жыл бұрын
I agree. My GTS gets around 16 which is a bit worse than a diesel...however, diesel is more expensive so that needs to be added into the equation. Either way, you can’t go wrong with a Cayenne in any engine platform 😁 Make sure to subscribe, and thanks for the support!

Did you have to cut or remove any body panels to fit the hitch on your GTS?
@Turn5ive4 жыл бұрын
Mine came from the factory with the hitch. I am not positive what the extent of modification would be. Do you have a relationship with your local Porsche dealer? It might be worth posing the question... Sorry we couldn’t be more help! Thanks for the support!!

@@Turn5ive Coming back to check on your video again..did you use a trailer break controller? If so, what is the setup? I don’t think the cayennes came with 7-pin connectors.
@Turn5ive2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your support! We are not positive about all Cayennes, but the GTS (and all others as long as they came with the towing package) have the 7pin connector (hidden to the left of the receiver), and the wiring loop (hidden over by the hood release, behind the plastic cover under the steering wheel). All you have to do is buy the brake controller and adapter, plug it in under the steering wheel, and go towing. We will be posting a video about this process in the next few weeks because we just purchased a new brake controller and will be installing it…stay tuned! Again, thanks for your support!

My friends bought a Porsche to pull their travel trailer. Yes of course it will pull it but what about the maintenance. Like breaks and tires. They are outrageous on these cars. Not a good decision.
@Turn5ive Жыл бұрын
Depending on how often you pull the trailer determines the additional wear rate. Thank you for your support!

I own a 2016 GTS from new. The brakes last far longer than F150 brakes, and aren't that much more expensive. In fact, I've found the maintenance cost per mile are lower than the Fords I've owned...if tires aren't included. Tires are expensive.
@adaptableamy4744 Жыл бұрын
You’d be surprised at how affordable the maintenance is on Porsche. I’ve had mine for 10 years and I’ve only had to do the brakes and tires, and normal oil services. Best car I’ve ever had and it’s a towing beast at 7,710lbs.
