I wish I knew this earlier. Everything in this video is so true, the first time I wouldn't even quite apologize, but actually say and show change. But after I got him back, I kinda relaxed and did stuff again, and he literally went "You held on for a few days and now back to your most natural self. We won't work out." And then I started begging and apologizing but he got so stubborn, and even then later said it's not me, it's him, not ready for a relationship, but he started texting another gay man DAYS after breakup, and claims they are now boyfriends.

I would love a video regarding being in a relationship with an avoidant man. The one in my life pushes me away every time we become closer-- the closer we get, the longer it takes for him to come back around. This last time he says he doesn't like the emotional turmoil in himself that happens when we get closer. He is 71 and never married. We both know there is a lot of love between us. I went crazy while waiting for him at his house and i destroyed his things and left the mess on the floor. His parents saw the mess I created when I left his house. Few hours later, I received text message from him saying that i was extremely overboard this time. He said why I always like to claim that others not being understanding to me and always hurt to me and I ended up hurting people who do really care for me. He asked me to reflect on my myself. He asked me not to call him because he will not answer my calls. This is his last messages to me and then he went SILENT on me until now - It is about 6 weeks already.

Almost a month ago my partner ( whom I live with ) and I had a Horrible fight. It's his house ( we split bills and but j got most of our furniture, made a beautiful garden etc...) but I had to go to a friend's house for a few weeks. We hadn't actually used the term " breakup" but it was implied even though I still love him and I think he loves me too but he's an avoidant and not good at dealing either his emotions. I had to come back to his house ( in another room) while I look for a place to go. While I was away he kept texting.....but now that I'm here...Nothing we haven't spoken since I've been back besides necessities. Hes also hot and cold, even though we don't talk he cooks things to share with me and said " for him it's ok if I stay as long as I help with bills" but yesterday he got into a fight with our mutual friend about what happened so he was cold and asked if I've found an apartment. It's confusing. I'm ok though...I go out, see my friends . But even though I has hope about him coming around It's looking less and less likely. Sorry such a long message. I’ve been in the same boat where we had a house together but it was in his name. I bought so many things for the house and maintained it. We split up and I got my own apartment. It is what it is. Just need to start over. Just a suggestion, but you definitely need to completely get away from him and go into no contact. He’s still seeing you. That’s not what he’s wanting right now whatsoever. He knows you still want him. Suggest to get out of there and get the apt and then start working on yourself. He will start seeing that you’re doing better, wondering why you’re not there calling him, and will come back. It works that way like 90% of the time. I’ve done it before and it works. Go straight into no contact.
