Just got back from our place in Maine on a lake. What worked best for me was a soft plastic 5in paddle bait. I switched between (based on water color) watermelon black/red flake and a natural green/purple flake. That worked better than the 10.5in tail worm. My 4 pounder (from the bank) came on a paddle bait that a yellow perch bit the paddle off. Yes everything that worked was Texas rigged. Hope my info helps.

Doing a 13 boat Wednesday night league this year, used a lot of what you have taught including how you guys were splitting the catching/culling in the first night tonight. 3rd place total weight and largest bass, thanks a lot Tyler.

Army Vet here. Always loved fishing but just got into seriously in the last year or so. Got a kayak but working on getting a jon boat and building it into a bass boat. Thank you so much for all the knowledge. Caught a 5.5 pounder at the lake behind my house last week first time I went out on my kayak. Cheers from Southern Illinois.

Tell you what...I dont have a bass boat I just have a little Intex Mariner 4 modded out for my local lakes and our couple trips to Lake Gaston. But watching these types of videos, learning how to use my drone and my Garmin to look for cover spots like this has helped tremendously. Bigger fish of all types, more strikes and less time feeling like the fish gods hate me have been amazing! Keep the content coming and got a sub out of me!!

Hey Tyler, I hate it when people gripe about electronics. I have to say that it helps but it still is a science. I caught the same amount years ago with the netindo electronics. I do get a little mad watching Milligan tearing it up.He must have 8000.00 dollars worth of electronics. I think you can still catch them with the common knowledge from fishing through the years. I love your attitude and the love you have bass fishing. Good luck. Your partner shows you don't need all that stuff. Good luck Tyler!

Sad to see tournaments won or lost by the amount of electronics a guy can afford. I remember when a guy found and caught bass based on knowledge of traits, seasonal changes, etc. I know it’s all about winning money but electronics have gone too far in my opinion.
@troydenlinger7587 Жыл бұрын
The biggest bass they caught in the tournament was on a worm with no livescope 🤷♂️livescope is not required to win.
@kentyler966 Жыл бұрын
Yes, not a fan of video game electronics. Terrible that anybody with piles of money can beat up the most important fish in a system, the breeding stock. Like hunting white tail deer with drones.
@fisheroffish1034 Жыл бұрын
No they aren’t, I’ve won plenty of local tournaments without live scope and I’ve lost plenty after I got 2 brand new lowrances. It makes it a lot easier,yes, but it doesn’t decide it
@Jose-wq9nv Жыл бұрын
Amen 💯, a real fisherman uses his knowledge! What happens if one day your electronics don't work 🤔🙄🤦🏻
@timlong1462 Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately the days of just down imaging and paper contour maps is gone. Guided trips don't even have you doing much casting anymore, just a dude driving his boat around looking at his 6 screens. Eventually they will have 360 live scope, and fishing will be nothing it once was. Some people only fish to catch the biggest, other people enjoy it as a retreat from basically everything used in this video. I guess it's what you want to make it yourself.

Ive fished my whole life mostly from the shore/dock, wading into the lake, and a handful of times on my uncle’s boat. The only time I/we had a fish finder or other electronics etc, was on my uncle’s boat those few times. I feel like you become a better fisherman when you learn to find the fish with just your own knowledge and experience. Do they ever have any tournaments where they don’t allow electronics?

Enjoy the content -- I got thinking... Wonder how many people out there that use these fish finders would do without one. I have fished all my life without a fish finder and I rarely ever get skunked. Saying this one of the reasons why I don't use a fish finder is (a) I am one cheap bastard (b) I like to go primitive and use my senses and knowledge of the body of water I am exploring.
