When Pokémon Sword and Shield came out, my very first run was using a team of 6 Yamper. I was so proud when my lead, Jino (named after my corgi who’d passed away that year), made the final strike on Leon’s charizard and became champion of the Galar region. Shoutout to Jino, Tofu, Merlin, Arftoria, Brie, and Dog. And of course, the star of this video, Poppy. You’re the best of boys and girls 💕

Solo challenges present such a different challenge to nuzlockes, keeps it things interesting. And no one really does them in later generations very often. Also poppyseed muffin is an outstanding name, I have a cat named Spicy McChicken.

All footage of Puppy Poppy must be protected and cherished at all times. Congratulations to the strongest pupper! Now that the puppy praise has been done, I will once again recommend a no stab moves nuzlocke of B/W or Platinum where you are required to face all currently available trainers before the next level cap. I think the second rule will make a potential playthrough much more interesting to do than the last time you did no stab moves in FR/LG.

I did this too in my first run of Shield! I had a stuffed animal pig named Kevin Bacon who was very much rotund and Yamper shaped, so I ran through the whole game with Kevin the Yamper on my team. He actually contributed a fair amount after getting eviolite :)

As a fellow corgi lover, I freaked out when I saw Yamper - we had just gotten our own corgi puppy a few months prior to the game's launch (my partner and I's very first dog together!) and I immediately beelined for a Yamper, got a male with a nature that perfectly matched our puppy, and named him Conan, after our baby boy. I even used him on my final team, if I recall, even though Boltund kinda sucks! My very favorite Gen 8 Pokemon, bar none. Conan is my absolute best friend, and I don't know how many of your videos he's sat by my feet and listened to. He's cuddly, spoiled, lazier than a pillow, and don't you dare touch his paws - but we can't imagine our world without him! God I wish Yampers didn't have an evolution lmao

I remember when I bought Pokémon Sword named my first Yamper Ein (from the Cowboy Bebop anime,as it is a genetically-modified Space Corgboy) When Pokémon Scarlet/Violet released the trailer for Greavard I fell in love with that spooky boy,and now I want to catch one and name it after my now 3 years gone dog,which was a fox terrier-pekingese named Milú (which is the name of Tintin's dog from the Tintin comics in my language) and get another one and name it Einstein like the Back to the Future dog
