Arcanine was originally supposed to be the sort of "leader" of the legendary birds. It was a scrapped idea that still exists in Arcanine still being labeled as "The Legendary Pokemon" and an early episode, where there's a mural of the trio with an Arcanine.

The best extreme speeder is Arceus, In a double battle, have Ursula Blood moon and an ability swapper, switch mind eye to Arceus then use a Pokémon with curse, then baton pass to Arceus. Terra Normal, beat everyone, but ghost type.

That third battle - mwah *chef's kiss* spoilers After losing 3 pokemon to this OG legendary dog, he throws out the slow calyrex thinking "he can't out-speed this under TR" - he does. You OHKO it, and just when he thinks the out-speeding is over since TR ran out, you can hit him with tera-normal extremespeed to out-speed him again... Or at least that's what he would have been thinking if he hadn't run before seeing the extremespeed. It would have been perfectly satisfying.

RK9. I really like using Arcanine in vgc. Intimidate + AV makes him real hard to kill. Has snarl to weaken the special attackers more. Then some nice coverage moves for damage.
