Can a Thermal Camera Be Added to an Inspire 2?

On the DJI website it states in the FAQ section of the Z30 that it is not compatible with the Inspire series and only compatible with Matrice 100 and 600. Did something change? I wanted to get this some time back but saw that statement in the FAQ and asked in chat support and they confirmed it as well. This would be awesome if it is compatible though!

Great videos DroneU! Its not clear to me still, dji states that the xt is not compatible with I2 but you guys say it is. Whats the final veridict on this, Is it compatible or not?

XT is not compatible with I2, only I1 or M / Matrice series. Drone U, if you know different, can you post a link?

You cannot mount a Z30 or XT on an Inspire 2. It is a completely different gimbal adapter. Are you sure?

Are your guys sure the Z30 will fit on the Inspire 2? I have looked into it a little bit but what I read it doesn’t work with the Inspire 2. Is there an adapter or an upgrade that allows this? Thanks a lot, great channel

The FLIr Vue Pro CAN be controlled by a separate RC radio and receiver set up and the color palettes can be changed "on the fly". It's listed right on the product description and Tarot makes a gimbal for it. RMUS had these kits last year. The new Duo Pro R looks to be quite nice, and is still cheaper than an XT.

YES, but the control is via bluetooth and the range is only about 40 or so feet. Its not really useable.

FYI. The Zenmuse XT v.1 must be upgraded to use on the Matrice 210. As you stated the Z30 is incredible on the 210.

Is this something new for the Inspire 2, the last time I asked DJI they said only X4S and X5S were supported

Hey guys, YES the glued motor mounts are a BIG issue. Mine threw a motor mount off the machine at 100’ feet and obviously it plunged to the ground, destroying camera and drone. There was absolutely ZERO signs of this mount failing before it truly failed. I am a very experienced pilot with hundreds of flight hours and there was no doubt it was a failed motor mount. It even landed about 15 feet away from the crash site in a bush, unscathed except for the ripped magnesium housing that tore like a beer can when the glue failed. The machine was 6 weeks past warranty. And do you think DJI stepped up and did the right thing? NOPE...☹️. This product should have been recalled for sure. Almost any reputable company would have done so, but greed seems to be the Mantra at DJI and after and exhausting experience jumping thru so many hoops and being intentionally thrown from one “manager” to another who I could only understand 50% of the words they did say, I gave up. That was the goal after all. The day will come when there is serious competition in this price range and when that day comes DJI will have to massively change or fail. Their reputation is well earned for being a ruthless company. I tried not to believe this before my Inspire 2 perished just a few hundred feet from me after I feverishly fought the controller for a few seconds only to surrender to reality of physics. There on the ground lay over $4000. The machine didn’t even have that many hours on it, certainly not nearly enough to warrant any type of rebuild or overhaul, yet it catastrophically failed right in front of me and in the MANY MONTHS following DJI kicks dirt in my gaping wound by making up numerous excuses to the point that I lost count of them. Well that’s been my expectations with those glued motor mounts. Buyer BEWARE.
