I should also mention that I’m playing a Fishman Blackstack Soundhole pickup through the amp which helps a lot in getting a decent sound with the electric amp. I don’t think my K&K pure mini would have sounded as good.

That stolen Lowden is sounding sweet bro 😃glad u got it back .. I bought a hsienmo guitar f series basically a Lowden it cost 2700 euros delivered to Ireland 🇮🇪 check them out just to see wat you think it’s an amazing guitar.. my model is sinker red wood top with zirocote back and sides I’m happy .. still like my lowdens .. I know one of the luthier s in lowdens and showed him the guitar he couldn’t believe how it sounded .. great video cheers from Ireland 🇮🇪 happy new year lad 🎸

Thanks for sharing your guitar amp finds Fabian! I tried plugging my Lowden into my Headrush FR system - the bass is untamable... taking the bass eq all the way is still not enough. Plugged into a guitar amp and all the problems are solved. At the Lowden factory they have an Orange amp to test en play their instruments. At home plugged into the Orange Tremlord 30 it sounds amazing - no preamp involved - but I am thinking to try that.

Hey Fabian. Are you doing anything to align the phase of both mics or is it not an issue? Also how loud do you have the amp? The Neuman doesn't appear to be picking up much of the amp sound. That was a pleasant suprise to me. Cheers

Hey, thanks for the questions! There wasn’t much of any phase issues that I could hear so I touch it. The amp was pretty quiet, probably around the same volume as my guitar acoustically. Yeah the Neumann did a pretty good job of rejecting the amp which was lucky considering I had it positioned facing the side of the mic.
