You can't tell if affinity photo 2 can replace photoshop from this video. There was sweet f all usage of the software to help with compare. 4 minutes of prices and downloading. 30 seconds to open the software but no demonstration, just a "yeah looks kinda like photoshop".

Affinity user here for the last 5 years, the 3 pieces of software are great, buy all 3 and they work seamless together. Fuck adobe

I am a beginning web and brand design. I had been dabbling with adobe for 2 years but it was complicated. I jussssst bought affinity (lol missed the free 6 months) and I spend the weekend learning it and it just clicks for me. I really like it

I bought Affinity Photo about 4 years ago and it is great. I just updated to the newer version for 30 dollars which is awesome. I will never go back to Adobe.

It's about time, Adobe had this coming

DaVinci Resolve is a gift! The free version is almost 90% of Premiere Pro. Will definetly try this software. Thanks!

There is functionality in Photoshop and Lightroom that Affinity doesn't have. I gave up my Adobe subscription years ago and have no regrets, but the replacement features in PS are, in my opinion, really going to prevent people abandoning the program completely.

Adobe had a permanent license too. And then they introduced subscription and the whole license turned into nothing. I have an affinity photo license and I'm afraid that one day it will all become just as empty.

Yeah I had Adobe CS3 or 4 back in the day which was a permanent licence. Hopefully Affinity doesn't change.

I'm just about to buy it. But Seriff has just been purchased by a company who's products are subscription based. Hopefully it won't go the same way. I'm actually moving to this from GIMP (having stopped photoshop when subscriptions came in) as GIMP is just not quite goo enough for what I need. But if Affinity does go subscription, I'll go back to GIMP.

@@cwork5485 That's a lot of peoples fear at the moment, Serif have responded to multiple comments asking if they'll become subscription based and they've stated that they won't, but whos to say in 1 or 5 years time that could all change. I guess we can take comfort knowing that there will always be a group of passionate people who will step in and make a replacement piece of software if Affinity ever turns subscription based.

Guys, no worries, get Corel, they give both options ( subscription or onetime purchase)…. I’ll be getting the 2025 versions of both Corel photo paint and Corel draw, very close to a full alternative to Adobe!

OMG, girl you're literally killing it. The vids are to the point, very helpful, you went the extra mile to show us the downloading/installing/whatever process, you look like a baddie, I'm just really glad I found this channel. You're a diamond in the rough, frfr!

2.6 is going to be awesome. It’s going to include local AI. You download the tools and it’s all done on your local computer. Affinity doesn’t use its AI to “steal” your images the way Adobe does. If you buy version 2, you can join the 2.6 beta for free. Also, universal license is 50% off right now.

I really like Affinity Photo 2 BUT I heard Canva bought Affinity, I really hope this doesn´t mean subscriptions in the future...
