God I try to use gpt4 for mine, but even with it being able to actually look at my channel with it's new web integration, it fails to give me any decent information. For example, I ask it for new trending games that have the highest chance of my channel acquiring new viewers. It gave me dead games and games that only ever had a single successful stream.

Somehow every time that I hear about or read about A.I. anything my mind immediately races to any number of Hollywood action flicks where the down on his luck, unlikely hero saves the day by thwarting the destroy humanity plans of the insane A.I. robot that was designed to save us all. Nice ideas, but also very generic because writing good prompts is really difficult and takes a lot of practice (there is even a job for it now "Prompt Engineer"). I've been using AI tools for the better part of a year to give me superhuman production times. Copyrighting AI for better writing, AI Art for nice imagery for presentations/slides without copyright issue, chatGPT as a replacement for Google and programming help, soon I will use AI for generative music as well. It's a tool, like Garageband became for music producers who had a MacBook and it will become part of everyone's toolbox hopefully, as it truly levels the playing field. Previously you needed to learn the skill to master something like Photoshop, but now you can just put your creativity to work and not worry about how to actually create something. This is a golden era and we can all be glad to smack in the middle of it!

If you want to thrive you need good quality gear. That i believe 100%. If you want to do ok, if you want to maintain your community you don't. But thriving is what we all want right? Also comparing people who are big already with the fact the quality is not so good is silly. They started when the wave was a lot smaller and they rode it to the top as it grow. None of us are doing that. You cannot look towards big streamers for a blueprint to grow for you as your living in a different time then they did in their own journey. So what works for them will likely be outdated for your point in your Journey.

It’s always a point I go back and forth on. Sure nice gear is a plus and helps. But I think the only real need is a somewhat decent mic. Plus Adin Ross only really blue up in the the last 2 years where active Twitch streamers were at an all time high. Similar IshowSpeed has a similar mid tier production value and saw a meteoric rise. I like gear and accumulating some nice stuff. But some streamers will go out and spend 1000s of dollars before even nailing the content. Tldr. Cause I’m rambling haha. Top tier Gear is nice but I never saw it as Essential. I do take your point on board though :) And thanks so much!

@@xTwoShoes agree i didn't mean top tier, I mean when your ready, and your sure streaming is something you want to do long term, and your have proven to be a content creator people want to watch. I think it's in everyone's best interest to invest into that. People will only wait so long until they see the quality go up. every few streamers can just do meh quality and thrive from it. We all shouldn't be banking on being that streamer. We should bank on the idea that viewers want to see better content from you. And gear is apart of that. It is not all you need but it will bottleneck you, if you leave it off your list. I am a big believer in the idea that you need to do everything correctly to move up in life. Example. you can have the best stream quality in the world and if your boring your not going to grow or get the value out of the money you spent on your streams. Or maybe your not boring and people love you. and let's say you do have amazing gear. if you cannot market yourself. If your posts outside of Twitch doesn't get any attention then its likely growing will be a huge issue. I think for 99% of people this is the real problem. Including myself. You need to be ticking all the boxes, all the time. Because Twitch is not helping you at all! The platform helps people who already have a pretty good red number. it's all about that red number. Most sit there hoping that number will grow is such a depressing why to grow. I recently moved to another platform that i am doing better on because its not focused on the red number. It's based on how good your content is and rewards you for that and it in turn makes you want to make your content even better. glad i moved. multistreaming is on my radar now.
