same thing here nobody had anything to check out before ordering. i ended up going with a 570 fullsize. ordered it 3 months and two days ago. it shipped last friday so i am hoping to see it by the end of the week cant wait.

Just sold my Ranger 500 and am upgrading to the defender with dps. Night and day difference when it comes to power and room.

Talked to my dealer toady about the 570 which is what i'm going with. They are adding power steering for $950, and the 4wd is just better in my opinion. For me (us) it comes down to The 4wd system Personally,Not a fan of the visco. The QE visco maybe better but apparently not an option on this hd7 model. 400lbs more on can am doesn't help. Power to weight ratio is not a huge difference to justify the can am Either. Power wise (if one cares) and Unless i did my math wrong, Power to weight ratio is also something to look at. The polaris at 44hp actually turns more hp over all because its 400 lbs lighter. At .0411 bk/hp Where as the can am with 52 hp is .03525 bk/hp Not a big difference but its not as impressive when you do the math. I dont know the torque numbers for the polaris though. Anyway, I like the comfort and load capacity Of the can am. Although, Ill never have a need for That much weight and if i need to Tow 2500 lbs i promise it'll be with my truck that weighs twice as much. Anyone thats ever pulled a little more than they should will know that pulling a heavier load than the machine weights can end badly. Guilty my self 😁

I've had UTV's with and without power steering and it can be pretty hard to notice the difference for everyday use, plowing and basic trail riding.

Only thing you left out was the different maintenance requirements 😉😉 Every effort is being made to improve the inventory situation over the coming months. It’s frustrating for everyone but we’ll have updated ETAs to dealers as soon as we can provide them, and as things progress. Long story short: we’d rather be talking about how the new HD7 performs for customers out in the wild. Soon!

You’re right, the maintenance intervals on the defender are pretty hard to do beat! We’d love to see them in person and better yet, get some hands on time! Let us know if there are any demo opportunities in the southern Utah or Phoenix area. -Joe

I want a defender max with power steering. The hd7 sounds great but seems like have to step up to hd9 or hd10 to get it.

You can get the HD7 with power steering but most people don't need it.

Comparing a Premium model to a base is stupid. Compare that to a DPS Defender.

These are expensive, no power steering, no included winch, and no roof. I think I may have to buy cfmoto uforce 600 instead. I believe uforce 600 also comes with alloy wheels instead of the cheap steel ones polaris and can am use. Cfmoto also comes with side mirrors. I hate how expensive UTV accessories has become. Closing a cabin is like 4000-5000$.

@Drewhio92 I haven't bought anything. There's many cfmoto dealers in my country. I'm considering can am outlander 450 max and can am traxter hd5. But I need to pay the last 6000$ I have on my snowmobile loan first. Snowmobiles and atv/utv is ridiculously expensive in Norway.

New doesn’t always mean better. Haven’t had the time prove it’s self. But I’m personally going get a can and. But js there is a reason to buy time and proven equipment
