Yes, indeed. I'll be hauling firewood once I get a hitch and a cart. Around here we are quad friendly so you can ride safely along the roads as well as the trails. They want you to obey traffic rules, be registered and insured and wear a helmet. You can even buy tires designed for riding on asphalt but I won't be using the roads too much. I know people who don't own a car but have a quad or side by side. I'll be going in the country as well as doing some fishing.

What is the model of can am? I have DS450. I have not the fuel level info... Have any idea what could I do to get it ON?

My quad is a 2019 Can Am 450 Outlander XT DPS. Typically, the shop computer can set all these parameters. I think there may be an aftermarket way to tapping the computer system of the quad but it might be an expensive venture to buy the program unless you can get a cheat copy somehow. I suggest you ask the shop if that is a setting on your screen you can use. It is weird that they didn't tun it on so I think it may not be an option.

But.. The Gas light is allways ON 😆 even it is full or empty

@@danilehti I understand. A sensor in the tank and a remote digital gauge could work but you may have to use another gas tank as I am unaware if the original has anything built in to plug into a digital gauge.. if you have any success, please let me know.

@@danilehti Ah, the sensor is stuck in empty mode. I am ussure how you could access that sensor but there shoud be a way.

I have a 15 outlander 500 and no backlight on my guage, is this a setting on my guage I’m not pressing?

Thank you for your comment. This light is supposed to be on whenever the bike is on or running. the lights are LED I believe. The dealership, or anyone with a BUDS program can check on the lights for you. It is possible that the lighting can be swicthed on or off via the BUDS program. A quick call to your Can Am dealership should get you that answer.

That was programmed for me personally by the shop. They use a computer interface to plug into the computer of the bike.

That, I believe is done at a shop with the computer interface that plugs into the bike. I also heard that there is a wire that you swap out under the speedometer unit that changes it from KMH to MPH. I would call a Can Am dealer and ask. I am in Canada so it was already set up for KMH when it was on the showroom floor.

These engines get pretty hot as it is pretty much a snow mobile engine. I suspect they won't add a temp gauge so that your jaw won't drop every day. They are designed to run pretty hot but, you know what I mean... lol Thanks for your comment my friend.

@@Tobinindustrial yeah bud. I had all these plans to add a temp gauge but gave up on it and just use the idiot light and limp mode. Thanks for the video on how to get the RPM/MPH setup.. I accidentally did it before and loved it but could never figure out how to get it set like that again.
