CAN AM MAVERICK SPORT MAX FRONT DRIVE LINE RATTLE FIX

This is how to fix that annoying rattle you have in your Can Am Maverick Sport front drive line. The rattle that goes away as soon as you put the machine in four wheel drive.

Proper fix for that is to drill and tap for a set screw. Loc tite the screw and drill the opposite side of the yoke and install a grease fitting then drill a large hole in the skid plate to access the grease fitting . Most dealers will do this under warranty .

That is awesome info! When I took mine to my dealer and explained the problem, they looked at me like I was the only person on earth that had ever had this issue and didn’t even want to attempt a fix. Thanks for sharing that info!

Is anything needed at the other end of the shaft or just the one spline done?

Dumb question. How do you reattach the skid plate?

Would you be able to put a grease fitting there and cut an access hole in the skid plate?

Is there any movement/lift in your motor when you accelerate either in reverse or forward. My wife was backing in our maverick sport and we noticed the whole motor would lift alittle and I'm not sure if thats normal. I know it is not a solid motor mount so some movement is expected I'd assume, just not sure how much is normal. @CS8 Customs

is you’re sport loud? mine is stock but i just feel like it’s loud for no reason. especially when it’s too the floor.

I feel mine is also loud. Like engine loud if that makes sense.

So far so good! Only have about 200 miles on it since the fix though so, we’ll see how long it holds up?!

i think proper fix is sell your can am and buy a yamaha. lol.
