My 2019 Can Am X3 RC started having the dreaded 'dtiveline rattle' even with the Can Am set screw fix. Grease was my only other option and I couldn't find a video on adding a grease zerk so I figured I'd just make one quick. Enjoy!

Cutting fluid is your friend here, specially turning that bit that fast.

I have the same issue. 2019 xrc as well haha. I was going to replace the entire drive shaft because I figured they were just wore but I never heard of that set screw solution before May try that and put a grease zero on like you did before I spend 400 bucks.

I would try, it fixed my issue completely

i went back to a factory carrier bringing recently after replacing my small shaft. it has minimal play still but you can only hear it at like 60 so im not mad about it haha. i think the easiest solution to this problem is to just replace the small shaft and the bearing and if you still have significant rattle your diff bearing is probably bad. @@4x4Play

Hi, I’ve got a 2019 X3 Max. No noise yet, but I want to keep up on the maintenance. Did you have to remove the drivers seat to get that kick panel off?

This looks pretty good. But does the grease move to the other splines? Or just where the fitting is.
@4x4Play Жыл бұрын
Yep, spreads pretty evenly once you pump it in

So I haven’t removed anything. You said you greased the back end. Could you add a grease fitting in the back also? Is there room for it?

Really wish someone would do a video of the sound so we can compare.

I didn't get the rattling on vid unfortunately, but it's very obvious. It sounds like a loose piece of metal rolling around
@imteggyyy8947 Жыл бұрын
what size drill did you use?
@4x4Play Жыл бұрын
It's going to depend on the size of the fitting you're going to use, but mine was a 1/4 hole I believe

Did this fix the rattle I have the same thing maybe ? Sounds like a washer loose on a screw just bouncing around or something happens around 40mph goes away if you haul ass sometimes it’s louder then others can not find it for the life of me
@4x4Play3 ай бұрын
Yep totally resolved the problem, haven't had an issue since. Does your rattle go away when you run in 4x4?

I get a rattling noise right around 40-45mph. Sounds like it's coming from the rear. Can't seem to find the issue.

Yup exactly what mine is doing I have the 2022 sounds like if you have a bunch of pennies I a metal coffee can rattle from 40 to 45 I either gas it or slow down and it goes away shits annoying honestly but I can deal with it

I have same issue it’s at a certain rpm around 25-30 mph if you hear it then let off throttle it gets loud then stops. I tried greasing splines didn’t go away. I have a hose clamp on exhaust springs and still there. Did you figure out what it was?

Same issue here with a 2022 with 300 miles on it.

Did you resolve the rattling noise issue? Mine is doing the same thing?
@NuclearT3acup Жыл бұрын
@@marcocontreras87 Check your seats. Mine had a rattle from a the seat bases. There are cutout areas of metal that touch metal on metal.

Did it make much of a difference?
@4x4Play Жыл бұрын
Yes, completely eliminated the rattle, and now I can grease that yoke with ease
