Lost my hubby Dan at 49. I’m now 64. We would pack up at a moments notice. We traveled all over. Saw many places. I just bought a Spyder. He wouldn’t have believed it. Watching you two sure reminds me of the fun we had. ❤ Enjoying your channel. 😊

Great start to the adventure. Hope the keys weren’t’ too warm. We keep talking about going down again. Always enjoyed key west. I've been trailering my Spyder some, and it's a great option. I need to go to Florida again and stay off the Interstates this time. They were a source of frustration the last time.

Enjoy the ride, been to KW several times. Nice place, but a bit much of tourist traps. Watch out for the "most souther point of continental US", it is not. First, on the Key West Island there is a place just west of the most southern point that is called Whitehead Spit, it is more south. Then there are several small keys to the west, that is more south. There are some tourist stores to watch out for, some are ok, and some are, in my opinion scammers. One example is a store selling "Persian rugs", well importing them has been illegal since 1995, so probably not. There are also a number of restuarants that enforce a gratuity/tip automatically on your bill. And it is not the normal 15-18%, expect 25%, and sometimes that is added on top of the 6% Florida sales tax. I know it is a tourist place. Just sayin to be careful. Cheers from Swede in Mexico
