Those are miss fire codes on all three cylinders. I dont think a tune will fix that.

Thanks for watching. Belt life is based on the drivers ability more than the clutch. So I can give an honest answer to that. I do know the back shifting and engagement of the clutch is so much better than the old style clutch. And a lot quieter.

We have had a few newer X3 come in that we sold with 3K-5K miles on them and no one was complaining of any clutch issues. Mainly it was maintenance items and one guy broke an axle. The P drive for the most part we have not see any customer locally needing any parts or service on the P-drive.

Faster rpm ramp, smoother engagement, lighter weight, easier to change weights, springs etc

Thanks for the comment. It is hard to determine what is going on. I would say maybe the seconday spring is loosing tension or could be in clocked in the wrong hole (the spring on seconday)

It's obvious that the audio on the P Drive was equalized mid band, it was attenuated (muffled), even the engine and exhaust is louder on the old clutch video clip! Why is that? To promote the P-drive, get the service or simply to be the first person to make the video about it and get more viewers? A good and honest explanation will be appreciated!

Thanks for watching. The audio is what is we did not change anything on it. The Pdrive is significantly quieter. I have no reason to try and sell P-Drives as they are backordered till who knows. We have the question about it fitting time and time again so this video answered that question and our experience in driving these machines all year models we can tell a hug decrease in clutch sound with the Pdrive over the older style clutch. Every person that buys an new RR X3 states the same thing when they leave that they are much quieter than the older X3 they had if they had one. I don't care if we sell a Pdrive or not the facts are it is quieter and engages smoother than other models.

I noticed in the video you talked about a belt warning light. I put a p-drive on a 2017 X3 about two weeks ago while we were out camping. I made the parts guy at the shop go get a mechanic and tell me it would work. Can Am has now cross referenced the old clutch part number and it goes straight to the p-drive. Just before we finished our ride the check engine came on and then went off and came back on. I did not know the trick to get the code until I came home. My can am stays with my trailer near our campsite so I haven’t been able to pull the code yet. Do you have any good ideas if it’s the belt warning? Real quick though the clutch and car were amazing. Really quick pick up.

We have not had issues with the belt temp. I bet the motor felt the belt slip and put up a engine code. The code will probably come back as missfire. We turn off the belt protection through the BUDS2 system so this issue does not cause the engine light to come on.

I own a 2022 x3 smart shox max and came from a 2018 x3 max and the clutch clunks are quiter. Besides that it feels the same. Except I have about 1/2” of dead pedal when taking off. Makes it a pain in the butt when trying to move the car a few inches foreword in my toy hauler Thank you for the videos , watching from beautiful Southern California

Nov 2, 2022, update on new P Drive clutch put on a 2021 Turbo RR X3, 1st off Adam will NOT be eating crow, he was absolutely right about the P Drive working! Thank you, sir! As you stated, it bolted right on, no lights on dash, everything is great, could not be happier with the P Drive, the clutch noise of the 2021 x3 drove me crazy! So much quieter. No more clunking! I'm smiling ear to ear.

Thanks for watching. We just put the Pdrive Primary on that is the stock 18 secondary on the machine. We just swapped the PDrive over and use same belt and same 18 x3 secondary and it rips just fine. And a lot quieter.
