Good call on the drain and fill plugs. I always do this. Make sure its seated good. Amazes me how many people strip these out!

You will like the tourqe locker, that was the first thing that I did on my renegade xmr 1000, they take a little bit to get used to especially if you climb steep hills. The only reason that I have not done the tourqe locker to my renegade xxc 1000 is because my daughter rides it. Glad to see you are getting the wheeler back together.👍👍👍

The Outlander is coming together very nice. Also I need to do that to one of my nozzle ends when I change my diff fluid. That would make it so much easier! Cheers Rob.

I may need to put locker in mine and want to do it my self so bad to save money and to learn but terrified of damaging something not a mechanic either did turn some wrenches for Toyota years ago but still not sure
@RobFarrowATV3 жыл бұрын
There's not a lot to screw up, some of it may seem a little tricky but You could probably work thru it and if you're still not sure maybe see if you can find someone close to You on a Can Am form to give you a hand. Good Luck and Happy Trails Paul!

Glad to see you getting it back together. Now don't get upset with me but I've never changed my diff fluid, why because somebody at either the factory or the dealership put my plugs in with a impact I assume because I've dang near broken 2 Allen wrenches trying to break them loose and all I've done is twist them both I've even tried to use an impact driver Allen head wrench on it and it wouldn't turn
@RobFarrowATV5 жыл бұрын
Well that sucks! You try bringing it to the dealer to get the plugs out? Good luck with you're issue!
@stacyreid50775 жыл бұрын
Rob Farrow ATV Every time I took it in for something I always forgot to ask about that issue. So I guess I'll fix it when it comes apart. That's one of the reasons I bought a another Commander is for things like that

Hello,it is possible to install torq locker in can am with abs and btc system?
@RobFarrowATV10 ай бұрын
I believe they have a Torque Locker out for the Can Am's up to 2022, I don't think there's anything for the 2023 and up yet. Best to check with someone that sells the Torq Locker.

Can it still be shifted between 2 wheel and 4 wheel drive
@RobFarrowATV5 жыл бұрын
Yes...steering is much tougher when on the throttle in 4 wheel drive though and you have to steer in between throttle bursts! LOL! In 2 wheel drive there's no issue with steering! Works really well in the mud!

You didn't replace the Pinion bearing? In a diff full of metal pieces?
@RobFarrowATV5 жыл бұрын
Yep, threw it in the garbage on the video and the new one is sitting there ready to go in! Pinion and bearing are brand new... 2:57
@JoshuaJonah5 жыл бұрын
@@RobFarrowATV No I mean the Pinion needle bearing (hk1616) and also there is a wear ring(705400036) on the input shaft that should be replaced whenever you do the seal. Not criticizing, but if you're already having issues keeping a diff in the bike you should probably do the whole job.
