Can an A320 pilot fly the A380? - Without reading the manual!

I mean I'm not an A320 pilot, but I do fly the A320 alot in flight sims, and I was able to just pick up and go in the A380. Airbus commonality is great

Transponder is in MCDU. Press the FMC1 box on the top left corner and select the SURV option.

You loaded neither the passengers nor the baggages lol! Your plane was literally empty, only the fuel was loaded. The cabin showed the amount of expected passengers (that's why the color was dimmed). You should press the load button after choosing instant, fast or realistic. When you do, the dimmed seats turn bright as they're occupied by passengers. That's also why your takeoff was very fast.

Love the videos, man! Waiting for you to realize there's a checklist button to see the checklists on the ECAM (located near the ENG, F/CTL buttons etc, not sure how these are called. There are also buttons to mark the checklist items here). And the transponder is in the MCDU, in the synoptics page if I'm not mistaken. I've also heard that 2 engines can be staretd at once - 2 left, then 2 right VV is velicoty vector. And you gotta test the zoom mode of the map display! It's definitely something totally different from the a320. It's very useful when combined with BTV autobrake setting as well.

It was a very nice flight Captain, I really enjoyed it but you took off without the passengers and cargo, left them all at the airport.. 11:14 and 15:22 there are PLANNED and CURRENT tabs :)

Why is it just me who absolutely love the looks of the A380? Everyone seems to hate it. She's a big lady, yes, a plus-size model if you will :) but to me she is beautiful! And then, when you get to know her.... My God! Move over 747, and bow to the Empress of the Skies!

When I first installes the a380 i was like where is everything? I always tought airbus cockpits had a lot of stuff in common but the difference shocked me

What are you talking about? The A380 and A320 cockpit are literally identical except the 380 has additional switches/buttons, larger screens and of course 2 more thrust levers

I think that there's really not much difference. Just from the normal procedures, it is easily learnable in a single hour.

Great ASMR A380 review. Your voice is very good for asmr. I think people in a cabin would love to hear a PA like. A380 is free, but msfs 2020 is not free, and i am still sitting on old pirate and outdated version + buying new games in my country is a bit problematic to say the least. Maybe uncle Lenin will bring a bit more communism to my PC later. Well, good video and thanks.

The W button next to LS is the Predictive Windshear button.

No it isn't. It's the velocity vector, ie the bird. Predictive wind is a part of the wx radar as a whole, not a separate function.
