Thank you for the test, air coolers are getting better and better. I have a Darkrock and a AMD 7700x, very happy with performance and noise level. Are you only doing tests with Intel CPU's Mr Prawn ?
@tomquimby86699 ай бұрын
I did a test on my normal work load and suite of applications I use. I was using a fraction of the power of my 14600k so my be quiet hardrock is sufficient. the stress tests are useful for reviewers but real world use should be taken into consideration before buying noisy AIO's .

I'm running a 13900K with a 240mm 2 fan AIO and can easily hit 100C and throttle on Cinebench. I'd love to see you do a test with a push-pull setup on a 240mm AIO to see if it can stay below throttling. I want to attempt it at some point but would like to know if it'll even help.

Did you apply an undervolt previously that might have hung around for the first test by any chance? I'm not sure if the old score is from a run with the AIO, but if the air cooler somehow managed to pull ahead of that in the beginning, the cores might have drawn more power to run at a higher frequency and then crashed due to the undervolt.

It looks like Corsairs' version of the Noctua NH-15 Chromax Black cooler. Another great looking stealth cooler! Will you be doing a comparison video? BTW, the 15S version is not just single fan but also the cold plate is offset to give more GPU space.

Hello I have my a problem with my lian li tl LCD fans. They return to the lian li logo instead of sensors after a while of turning on the PC. I can return the signal by removing and connecting the side cable on them or by turning pc off and on. The control of fans and RGB is fine and can be controlled only LCD , which seems to be USB connection problem. I can see in your video that you had the same issue on 2 fans at 11:11. Do you have solution or work around that does not require removing side cable and putting it again?
@TheProvokedPrawn9 ай бұрын
I was having windows update issues there. But have you seen my wiring guide? kzbin.info/www/bejne/naenh5ygi5mkrLc and don't use port 1 for the LCD fans on the controller if you are as that could be a problem. I'd also look for firmware updates for the controller via L-Connect or Lian Li's website.

I relided with copper and used conductonaut liquid on the cpu, with mx6 ontop of ihs, with coolermaster hyper v2 dual fan, and get similar results on i9 11900k, it is noisy with 5 case fans and 6th as exhaust, but I am happy that my highest temp is no longer in 90s, I switched out to smaller case and my watercooler wouldnt fit, and my cpu was wet, I hope to get a few more years and in that time get 14900k

I honestly didn't think it would fit in the case, now the only problem is if you want RGB it would look much nicer with an AIO, and according to the page from corsair their AIO cools better too, does not specify which AIO is used for testing sadly, I guess the use case is to save money for someone that doesn't care about RGB.

Right, no pump failure and no leak that could damage components inside your unit. However, you have to undervolt high-end CPUs and understand that a i9-13900K will throttle under stress, even with the best air cooler out there. It's a trade-off.
