I really wished that injury didnt happen. jordan not only did pretty good in the challenge but also tried to stay in a bjj mindset. i udnerstand all the strife that people have with some bjj aspects in regards of self defense but jordan being consequent with his approach gave bjj a good opportunity to grow. im definetly not going to lie down like he did against knife attackers but maybe it is smart to train upkicking from time to time - just to have that tool in your tool box.

The Jesse-Natan fight was a draw in my opinnion too, it's rough, it's a point based competition, you gotta give points, but there also wasn't any serious damage done and the fight was stalling, neither guys were in any significant amount of danger troughout the fight, other than the possibility for Natan falling from the leg kicks, but that's a big IF and he did have the dominant position in the grappling. Both guys had a chance to do fight ending damage but neither did, if we go by the "self defense", both guys won the challenge avoiding significant damage so you either gotta give points to both or neither.

@phantom2faddd242 Same. Primarily Muay Thai and BJJ, and I have some amateur MMA experience. I am also realistic enough to recognize that guys like Natan and Jeff Chan would merc me with minimal difficulty, haha. With that said, I still think it would be an amazing experience, so I'd be on a flight to Australia in a second if invited to participate. Even with my training, I'd still consider myself an Average Joe, though, cuz most of the participants LIVE for training and martial arts, whereas for me it's definitely more of a hobby at this stage in my life. And I've never really considered making KZbin content, but I think anyone who has those aspirations should give it a shot. What's the worst that could happen? If it doesn't pan out, you're no worse off than before, and you can still take pride in having given it your best effort, you know?
