Can An EMTB Improve Your Riding!?

After moving to the Pyrenees, I lost all confidence on my mtb as climbing the huge climbs became boring and took up most of my ride time. As soon as I experienced e mtb, my life changed. I’m in love with mtb again and I can’t leave it alone. My confidence has come back and it’s the biggest thing to happen to me since starting mtb’ing 34 years ago.

I went from mtb to emtb and im loving it I went from doing 16km a ride on a mtb to 30+km on my emtb and iv lost 10kg in the last month while riding emtb

I love my e-bike, so much so it got me back into "real" riding & I bought a hard-tail & a gravity bike to add to the fold. They all have different uses, gotta say, I'm preferring "muscle" bikes whilst I still can !

There is a learning curve to an eMTB. I was smoking my shin guards for about a year but, not so much any longer. Very addictive as well. If I don't ride for a couple of days I feel lost...

My skills have advanced so much in the few months i have had my EMTB I liked technical climbing anyway but could not hit anything like the terrain i do now just love it.

Just my first year on my eBike after starting to race XC back in the mid 80's. It's certainly fun with some assistance up hills! I still ride 20-30 miles with 3-4000 ft of climbing. Technology is also making it fun with all the new improvements to Mt Biking...

Just got my first emtb, a Scott Ransom eRide 910 and it's definitely made me better, faster and more confident on the big stuff! It rolls quicker, ploughs through anything in its path, corners like it's on rails and is great in the air. It needs a a decent lip to get it airborne but feels really stable once it's up there. Emtbs are fantastic downhill, I'll never go back. If you're on the fence but have the cash just go for it! You won't be disappointed.

I’d have to agree with you the E mountain bike has improved my skills and I don’t think you are embellishing or exaggerating any of your points, they are all true. I even have friends of mine commenting that my form is better after riding an ebike after several months. I have also notied my shoulders and arms are sore after riding a so I am getting a better upper body workout. I never ever used to get sore in my upper body after riding a regular mountain bike.

i’ve been riding all my life but only happen until this summer that i’ve upgraded and got myself an emtb. i’m riding daily even when seasons changes. i’ve completed +4.200km just this summer and rising never been funnier. the change was immensely for me since i’ve always had a 26” now a 29” size. plus the first couple of rides been a real struggle, getting the curves downhill or turns in general. the bike was just heavy and maybe i had to much respect, or fear whatever you wanna call it. there’s no bad weather either, just bad cloths- and if you really like riding didn’t find excuses not to go out and have dirt, i mean fun

Honestly can't wait until i can sensibly afford to add an e-bike to my garage! Love my analogue hardtail, but am closing in on the big 40 in the next few weeks and just don't have it in me to get out and into the fun stuff as often as i'd like. 100% intend to keep the analogue bike, but i guess time will tell how much use it gets and whether i let it go to a new home where it would be used.

I have just got myself a whyte E180s v3 & on my first ride I found it hard to get the cadence right & just felt like I was spinning out or begging down? Is there any tricks to getting it right?

Unless you're exclusively only riding bicycles ebikes are far more stable. Plus you're less mentally fatigued for the downhill.
