Its too bad blast wave isnt accounted for, then a v shape hull could be used. Good tests! Thanks for the info!

More details like that would be cool yeah u wu always like more in-depth building and physics mechanics x3 ♥

If you use the confusing semi-vanilla unplaceable blocks from the (ive forgotten the name) frost scenario, it would prob do much better! If you/anyone is not aware, The frost scenario (again ive lost it sorry, its vanilly) has multiple premade vehicles that take more damage than their blocks should. If you blueprint them, and paste them in a world, they still have inexplicably high health. If i remember correctly, you can even cut pieces off of them, and paste them onto other builds, and have *those* pieces have high health. In theory, with far too much effort, you could create a much stronger vehicle by using these blocks, even though you cant place them yourself (unless im out of date)

Interesting I’d love someone’s reply on this

O: what blocks Ah I see x3 don't think that's allowed on servers though xD

Honestly, it seems like it's less of a matter of armor and more of a matter of getting the functional blocks out of the blast radius.
@LucaTheGuide4 күн бұрын
Hmm that's a good point actually, so maybe a feasible practical MRAP on SE is just a vehicle with the functional blocks very spread apart xD

Would make it bigger though u wu

If it were detonated by sensor it would explode under the front of the vehicle, not the middle. So realistically that would help a bit with survivability.

You can increase the timer

It would yeah c= was testing the underbelly strength though u wu but oo like egor said a timer can work to make it activate while under x3

Conclusion: a single warhead can destroy small land vehicle easily (idc if seats survive, the rest of the vehicle is dead)
@LucaTheGuide4 күн бұрын
Yeah the armor needs to be like 5-6 layers of heavy armor thick or something to make it able to survive that kinda landmine explosion next to it xD
@blak48314 күн бұрын
I always forget that SE warheads are actually really powerful for how small and cheap they are
@xendakakorva32674 күн бұрын
@@blak4831 it's why they work so well for pmw missile swarms, hell even the Factorum use them via spawning them out of thin air and they are set to go after thrusters

You should try again with the gravity ball as armor. If memory serves me right, it's the most dense block/most hit points
@LucaTheGuide4 күн бұрын
O: I should try that x3 gravity ball armor sounds and might look funny though xD

@LucaTheGuide i know some tank creators used that underneath regular armor to withstand attacks

The trouble is the "Ambush Protected" in "Mine Resistant, Ambush Protected." Even if the whole interior were to survive, the loss of the wheels would be a total mobility kill, forcing the engineers to dismount and slog through the enemy fire without adequate protection or firepower.

Mine resistant!!! No one said we were impervious!

I think the issue is that the armor blocks don't cover the whole vehicle but then that would defeat the purpose of having them lol

basically if ya dont want to have a vic blow up drive around on a heavy armor brick

Interesting test, although conditions for it was optimal for damage. in nature the MRAP would be moving at speed and not stationary. Perhaps a test with it moving over a mine at different speeds? second point - at such many (heavy) layers it still took mayor damage! not much point in armouring whole bottom -weight. i propose armouring around each seat sort of nest it into its shell and where you want it to break place 1 layer off light blocks.. sort off making the explosion deal directed damage!! Could be a funn test.

xD ye it needs to be unfeasibly thick to work well against landmines

Seems like it's useless to build small grid rovers to defend against explosives.
