Bayle was heavily disadvantaged with a small arena, if he was allowed to move more than 5 feet in any given direction Midra would've been wiped very quickly. Mohg's nihil dealt zero damage, so Midra had an unfair advantage there too.

It's funny that, in terms of lore, practically every single one of these bosses is screwed the instant Midra hits them with any Frenzied Flame attacks. Shabriri wins against all, in the end.

If we get too deep into the lore, some bosses would be able to resist him somehow, Radagon being a Golden Order fundamentalist would grant him a lot of resistance, Morgot for his love for his family, Maliketh, considering he is death itself, Malenia has a lot of mental strength for her constant fight against the Rot God, Mesmer for the Abisal Serpent curse, Radahn with his magical power and control, like his mother Renalla, Dragonlord himself by his antiquity like Bayle, while some others will be more or less less capable of dealing with him for what we can see in the lore or because they don't show any kind of mental power or resistance of any kind.

Frenzied flame isn’t automatically some one-shot ability, when you burn the world, you had already killed everyone who could resist the flame or not be affected by it, as evidenced by melina surviving, heck she doesn’t even take any damage unless your character specifically controlled the flames to not hurt her or something. By that logic, shabriri would have killed half of leyndell just like that

Not really. The frenzied flame is just another outside influence like the greater will or the outer rot god. Their avatars are backed by the power of said gods and it makes sense that they at least offer a massive boost in resilience as they shield the users from the influence of another outer god, so it would make sense that radogan, melania would be able to resiist the efects of madness.

In both I feel like really good but just slightly underwhelming is kind of exactly how it should feel from a story perspective. But from a combat experience I agree it was a bit disappointing, still a good fight though.

I see why Mohg was the one warding off the Three Fingers, now. Lorewise, he wouldn't have some absurd resistance to Madness, but I do forget that he's basically fireproof. As long as his hits connect, the blood loss he stacks up would be effective at putting down any would-be Lord of Frenzied Flame. He didn't perform especially great the first time, but I noticed he also missed, like, half of his attacks lmao.
