At last man! Thank you so much for this comprehensible video. I think you're the only one who made a decent piece of information about that subject.

Very nice Video. Also the first one who got the problem right and easy to understand! The AT Boot sole gets quite often confusedwith the "new" WTR standard. I've had this exact Problem for now three years. And I've found a few bindings that are compatible with the AT Shoes. I my case also the Maestrale. The first one is the Marker Duke which has a hight adjustable AFD as well as the Marker Lord (seems to be not sold anymore) which was specifically designed for using AT boots in it. A newer Model is the Salomon Warden 13 MNC which is from my knowing the first binding to officially support AT Boots or ISO 9523. And it is also the one with the imho best adjustability of the toe-piece. Notheless, i have to say that i used all three of the mentioned bindings without any issue.

Hi, thanks for the video, great explanation. Do you happen to know if the Rossignol ALLTRACK PRO 110 LT SLATE (with dynafit insert) would be compatible with a griffon binding? I am planning to buy an AT binding in the future but today my skis have griffon. Thanks!

Very good video! Short, straitgh to the point and very well explained. I was using Scarpa Maestrale with diffrenet Alpine bindings and they fit with all standard alpine bindings, but safety release might not be optimal.

Bought a set of boots that are ISO 9523. Went to a local ski shop and was fed a bunch of bologna that, "My boots/bindings weren't compatible. Period." Went somewhere else and had them mounted without question. This is a much more reasonable and accurate explanation.

good video! And I also think the front tip purpose is to fit crampons and not Alpine binding, am I wrong?

Directly from the scarpa website... SCARPA designs and manufactures its boots to meet these international industry standards. SCARPA’s Maestrale, Gea and Freedom series ski boot soles meet the following standards: DIN ISO 9523, DIN ISO 5355

Very confusing. I have skis with Look Pivot 12 alpine bindings that say gripwalk, and I bought Dalbello Lupo AT boots that had gripwalk soles. I was under the impression that this would work, does anyone have input? Inside the box, the boots had a tag that said they were only compatible with touring bindings, but the ski shop that mounted my bindings tested the boots and it worked correctly...

If you want a boot that is optimized for downhill performance and AT bindings, but also is fully compatible with Alpine bindings, go with the Lange XT Free 110. The previous model, XT 110 Freetour, is everything I need for my in-bounds skiing, and fits my foot better than Scarpa, Technica or Salomon AT boots, which I tried on.

"The answer is no. This is how you do it...." ahahahah that guy, great :D

Why isn't it advisable? The Binding has an ISO 9523 standard and the boot also, which means that they are compatible are they not?

Hi. What about opposite scenario? Can we use use regular ski boots for touring mount? Are there any adaptors? Does it make any sens?

Was wondering the same

Since alpine boots do not have a walk mode, I suspect that you would find trying to walk in them very uncomfortable and inefficient. I have Dynafit touring bindings and a regular Alpine boot would definitely not work with them since they use pins to engage the boot.

You can if you use non tech bindings like a Marker Duke or Salomon Guardian.

Should you explain to us what AT is ?

I love ATs but you can pop out so easy. Much rather use Alpine for front side days.

nice presentation, not sure of the message. Perhaps I missed something. Probably the first youtube ad I've watched end to end.
