I have to say, in my opinion, the inability to make quick decisions and the poor judgement that manifested in PT holding the ball too long and taking sacks and failing to throw the football to wide open receivers....I can't blame that on the "system", I put that on a graduate transfer that wasn't getting the job done in way too many situations and primarily against the best of the schedule... Not surprisingly, we lost all of those games... were there other factors?? Of course there were, but the lackluster QB play by Thorne that got him to dead last in the SEC in yards passing per game and QBR rating was earned by the graduate transfer, to blame it on everything else and everyone else but the player is just blame shifting excuse making in my opinion.

Mike G, Thorne regressed each year at MSU too. It’s not just an Auburn problem.

Exactly! And Thorne only played good in home games at Mich St. On the road he was terrible just like he was last year at Auburn.

War Eagle fellas, do yall think with the caliber of receiver that CHF is recruiting, that Auburn needs to resemble an Air Raid offense to keep that caliber receiver?

Guys, let’s remember the population of ATLANTA is more than the state of Alabama. YES, of course we need to hunt down the Georgia talent…there are so many excellent players there we shouldn’t have to scrape any “barrels” for talent. Since we are such a great basketball school our name, our brand recognition, shouldn’t be a problem. All the resources available to our good coaching staff, our facilities and our history and traditions should be adequate to spark their interest, now all we have to do is produce a product on the field with the talent we have so any special talent would want to associate with us. Hope “Big Cat” has some magic again this year. WDE.
