Very good interview and one of the best technical relevance of AI in real traffic problems One good thing i felt is Officer Anucheth acknowledging the issue and accepting we can do better. The way the interview spanned in giving technical insights, social media importance and giving practical examples it was just so thoughtful The portion when he said what if someone stops giving data, just shows the level of long vision Everywhere there is problem, negativity still some people want to make a difference

Loved this interview. I enjoyed how clear this young officer's thinking is and how well he understands the city's problems and the tools available to him to approach those problems. More such interviews, please.

Fantastic interview. We are constrained only by the enormity of the problems, the ingrained faulty behavior of the commuters/drivers, and the shortcomings of the technology, which leaves us somewhat helpless. Let us wait for the maturing of the technology. That leaves us to wonder: How come others have somewhat solved it while we still struggle with it?

You guys didn't acknowledge any of the real issues that we actually face 1. Yulu riders/ Delivary guys driving in One way and Wrong side (One of the most Frustrating one) 2. Cars and Bikes parking on road 3. Make sure people are paying for Challan (I have seen people with 20k in pending challan and still riding them in cities) 4. No Strict Actions on Road Rage Incidents 5. Biggest of them all, Potholes. Fix the Goddam Roads and Traffic which will reduce by 20-30%

6. Smaller and more frequent buses for the last mile, which will increase employment and reduce traffic on road.

we don't even want anybody to come up with fancy solutions. 1. can we just prevent random u-turns and road crossings by using tall road dividing barricades? 2. can we have paid parking which prevent people from randomly parking wherever they feel like? 3. can we for once, for once, have traffic lights no matter how small a junction is? India is not a country with civic sense so having a chowrastha is one of the biggest traffic blocks we have where nobody waits for anybody.

Kindly fix electronic city traffic. Heavy vehicles coming from nice road increases the traffic heavily. Please install a divider in the service road from where vehicles come from nice road towards hosur road. Vehicles from opposite side are unable to move because these vehicles occupy both sides and create lot of problems. This can lead to accidents as well. Why can't heavy vehicles be allowed after 10 pm. This will improve traffic in electronic city. 😢

The problem with the traffic police is that they do not come up with unique solutions and continue to believe that traffic problems will be solved through traffic management. Seems like they are focusing more on traffic violations to monetize fine/challan collection. It's so funny n sounds stupid that they are looking at the accuracy of violation when the traffic is moving at snail's pace. Fre more points: 1. AI should also help in identification of Cops not functioning effectively and not to forget the bribe collection at the corner of the junction. I'm sure the AI camera, drones and AI Avatar camera angles can cover this. 2. Road quality and potholes are a barrier to the flow of traffic. Better roads would lead to smooth flow of traffic. 3. Plz understand that traffic blockades are not only on the main roads, it's also at the in roads. 4. Need more cops on the road not at the tea shop. We see active cops duty only during a convoy passing. Bangalore Traffic Police lacks the intent and passion to solve the traffic problems. Not just dealing with the traffic issue but to eliminate the blockades in the first place.

I think the police force require extensive training in traffic law enforcement and traffic management. The least our govt can do is send them to Dubai to see how drivers are made to comply with traffic laws even during extreme congestion.

Companies providing cabs to employees should stop allowing personal vehicle parking in their office. This rule will only help to reduce traffic from Bengaluru roads. People are living with fake status of living near office than purchasing 4*4 SUV and single person using it to reach office so they can show their fake status. Coming with company cab means their ego get crushed. Police should do survey to find out how many companies provide cab service to their employees and ask those companies to block personal vehicle entry into their premises
@neetujain64514 күн бұрын
@@invisible1728 will you spend 2 hours more one way for cabs? That's 20 hours a week

What about car pooling? One suggestion will be let Quick ride operate and let people car pool. Incentivise people in the form of carbon tax credit that can offset the tax expense by a certain percentage. Add more buses and allow Uber Shuttle and other private shuttle service that operates 20 seaters. That will reduce the congestion. Public transport is the only way fwd.
@haridasification4 күн бұрын
Not possible, only mass transport is the answer and not private vehicles

What is the % of Recovery of Penalties? If Penalties are not collected & people don't feel the punch, this will not effective. In Saudi Arabia, the collection of Penalty is given to private company who get a commission on the amount collected. The penalty also increases if not paid in time, like 125% if penalty is not paid within 3 months, 150% for 6 months, double if above 12 months + the vehicle will be seized.

Somebody will solve a problem only when they acknowledge there is a problem..! It is unfortunate, the officer is already denying there is a problem..! you can be sure there will be no solution. It is clear that infra structure is a problem.. and the penniless govt of Karnataka is in no position to do anything. All tech is great.. but how is police tackling wrong side traffic..? How is police restraining all the traffic offenders e.g. delivery riders.. and how about solving the famous U turn algorithm patented by BTP..?
@sumanthnh73274 күн бұрын
I don’t see a reason closing NICE road by 10 PM and open only After 5 AM…IT employees shift ends during the period and unable to use this road ..also it’s the responsibility of police to enable safety instead of restricting or closing the public infrastructures ..try strict regulations and open the roads for public
