If you listen to her when she was a teenager just before her debut album, you will get shocked by her amazing belting voice and powerful vocals

There’s a video of Britney singing silent night in 1996 and her voice in that video sounds amazing. She had so much potential of becoming a vocalist.

Love your reaction ♥️... one thing I will say is that around the time her conservatorship started, was when her team forced her to not perform with her mic on. She was made to lip sync. Her ta also controlled her interviews, and none were live since around 2008. After an interview was filmed, it had to be sent her team for editing amd approved. What her team would send back was what aired. Super super controlled. Many at the time said it was due to trauma and multiple personality disorder, but after her conservatorship ended, we found out why! I hope this is the first of many britney videos you'll do, her life story is on another level. Cheers.

Her producers wanted her to have a more baby voice for a “pop star” aesthetic. Her first album Baby One More Time is the closest we get to her original voice, but the rest of her albums they kept making her sing in this squeezey baby voice and then they kept auto tuning it and making her songs more talky. If you listen to her sing in the movie Crossroads it’s beautiful. Britney’s story is so tragic and frustrating

Yeah, I’ve read some stuff about her. It’s so sad. Thanks for the explanation!

That’s not a bad thing necessarily. It made her stand out as an artist

People sometimes need to realize that being a good musical artist isn’t all about being a good singer. Sometimes it’s about standing out, which Britney did perfectly. And hey, she sold 100 million records

She herself wanted a voice technique similar to Michael Jackson’s when she was recording. She has some interesting vocal tones and choices. The conspiracy is she was pushed into it, but like you stated she sings higher cause she can control it better. Reality and facts are less likely to circulate tho.

Britney and Christina came out around the same time and grew up in the mickey mouse club together alone with Ryan Gosling and Justin Timberlake. Well long story short Britney actually has a deep broadway type sound kinda similar to Christina's, Britney also had the dance factor. So the producers didn't want her and christina to sound alike or be the same so they changed her style into a more bubble gum pop sound to match her innocent image.

Great reaction!! You should react to her live! Please react to slave for you 2001 at the vma’s! It’s one of the most iconic performances of all time

I think something we need to stop perpetuating is that her baby voice isn't her voice. It's very much part of her range and tone. It's just that it's heavily used. It's much easier to control in the studio where you have the ability to go through several takes versus live. In fact there are artists who have a very high pitch as they sing higher like Adrienne Bailon and even Brandy.

Michael Jackson also sang higher cause it was easier to control.

It’s the vocal Frye .. I love it though .. both voices… it’s a early 2000’s thing.. like Justin singing “it’s gonna be MAYyy”
