It's so interesting to learn about what ai can do for us. I can definitely see how this can be a useful tool

Yeah, I agree, I find it super fascinating!

I must say, chatgpt is undoubtedly helpful in many ways, like you showed. However, personally, I mostly see downsides in all types of (new) commercially available AI programs that are supposed to help you work/produce things. Not only because most of them (especially those that produce images) are based on stolen work, but also because of how they may be used. Chatgpt and other textbased AI can already write (in part or completely) university assignments, with sources (like you showed). There's no way students will actually read the recommended sources, they'll just copy everything into a document and hand it in. So even though they are very helpful tools for some, they will be misused now and even more so in the future as they get more advanced. That's why I hope there will be laws and regulations soon for how AI can be used and how it gets trained (so it can't steal things). Or at the very least that there will be other tools and programs that help protect artists etc works, as well as help people tell if something has been made with an AI or not. Because that WILL be incredibly important as AI gets more advanced and bad actors try to do very, very bad political things Sorry for the rant, I just have strong opinions on all the new AI that has popped up recently, and they're generally not positive 😅 Good, informative video though! 👍

Yeah I think it is really bad that these tools are trained on input that the creators have not agreed with, especially pictures. I however don't fully agree with you on the studying part, I think this allows for new opportunities and maybe a whole new way of studying. In the same way that we don't need to write in cursive now, we might not need to write our own texts going forward, it is super exciting to see where that will lead us and how behaviours will change. I of course also see the challenges but I don't necessarily think that AI needs to be banned from the school system, maybe the school system needs to change based on the new reality? :D it will be really interesting to see how AI unfolds going forward and what regulations are needed to prevent misuse
