I wish I'd of found this video before I read the book, it could have saved me a lot of time! I got more from this 15:30 video than I did from the book.

I usually record meetings first notifying attendees that the meeting is being recorded. I save the recording as part of record keeping. Then I go over the recordings and type out all the important information including updates, questions and answers etc so it is very detailed. Am I doing too much?

Thanks for this. I'm 14 years old, and I ran for student council and won as Secretary. Learning how to take minutes was crucial for my journey of being the Student council secretary, and because im responsible for the summary of the discussion.

I go to the calendar invite in Outlook and use the Send to One note feature. It launches avnew one note page, along with the meeting details (meeting name, date, time, invitees, agenda or info from the body of the meeying, etc). It saves lots of time.

Great video. Without question, GTD is one of the top business books of all time. Here are 10 additional points to incorporate into your GTD plan: 1. Time block on a digital calendar all of your activities. Send alerts to your iPhone or smart watch to remind you. 2. Your digital note taking app such as OneNote will be your best friend. Capture all of your notes, information, activities, digital images in this app. Your emails and computer hard drive are not easily searchable. 3. At the end of each day, review your day and set up your schedule for tomorrow. You can still do your weekly review, but you need to schedule your top activities the night before. 4. Scan and upload into the cloud all your paper documents. All your digital documents should also be stored in the cloud. 5. Complete your most important activities in the morning. 6. If you are not making progress on an activity, then hire an expert or a delegate to an employee. Having people in your life definitely helps to get things done. Sometimes you are not motivated enough to complete task on your own. 7. Use the pomodoro method to focus on an activity. Highly effective. 8. Engage in an activity for just 10 minutes. Once you start, which is the hardest part, then momentum will kick in. 9. Listen to KZbin videos on your project topic as much as possible. By doing so you will become more comfortable on the task. 10. Limit your activities to just 3 per day. During more will overwhelm you. Look at your calendar as much as possible during the day.
