It is in the world of kenshi. The date is unknown, as is the location. A high ranking official is uneasy, as he always is, scanning every possible face for any sign of an attack. It is not the first time an assassin has been after him. Experience has seasoned this old man, and as he scans the passerby’s, he notices one who does not belong. A man trying to conceal a weapon and attempting to approach slowly. He quickly and effortlessly disables and kills the man, before he realizes he has been caught. But the man does not relax. He vigilantly watches the crowds. If there was one, whats to say there weren’t 2? Unfortunately, the old man could not determine the assassins partner. It was not the man at the back of the crowd, or the group of crabs quickly approaching him, or even the man leading them, who was charging full speed, directly at him. This assassins skill was too high for this mere mortal. Suddenly, the man realized something. His field of view was changing. It was shifting. It was almost sliding.... to the right? The man realized to late that he had been decapitated, still unable to find this skilled assassin. In his last moments, he thought of everyone he saw once more. Was it the man at the back after all? Or maybe it was the crab leader who now stands over him, bloody sword in hand? No, it couldn’t be. Then....who was.....i....i..... And so he died. Legends of this remarkable assassination would be passed on for generations, as even the surrounding crowd who watched the mans head fall off were completely oblivious to his killer. could it have been a well placed arrow? Where did the man in the back go? Could the crab leader who is currently sprinting away, with a trail of blood following him, be the culprit? No one knew... Or so the legend says.

This line absolutely cracks me up. I think it’s just the way that no meaningful observation is made whatsoever. We have already established that there will be crabs. It is very readily apparently that this is, in fact, an unusual amount of crabs to have in Kenshi. AA and I have understood eachother perfectly already. This line is simply a very gentle reminder, 10 seconds into the video, that today there will be an abnormal amount of crabs. No explanation is given. We shall just have to accept it.

At some point their robot slaves revolted and conquered Kenshi, leading to their orbital weapons systems and bio-warfare being used which made the whole planet practically uninhabitable. This game is one of the most janky experiences I've every played, and yet it was one of the best sandbox experiences I've played. It managed to make survival in the wild exciting and hard at the same time, whilst rewarding exploration. The first few sessions were frustrating as hell - even annoying at times, but once you manage to overcome the issues and learn to just hide whenever cannibals come for a visit it starts to get fun. Then, eventually you'll master combat by beating up starving raiders and at some point even those annoying as fuck cannibals can't harm you any longer.

You can rescue the crabs by saving with your camera somewhere safe, then reloading with "reset squad position" or something like that checked. It'll move the whole squad to the camera on reload.

I remember my first modded co-op playthrough of Rimworld. We had a psychotic, nudist, hobo Joe Biden go berserk and start shanking our livestock, so we sent Mecha Xi Jinping to save him before he got eaten alive by our genetically modified combat chickens. We also found a rabbit who was actually a human being that had been transformed by dark magic of some sort; we recruited the rabbit, armed it with Hobo Biden's confiscated knife, effectively turning it into the Black Beast of Caerbanog (it had 18 Melee somehow), and placed it in command of the Automated Hamster Artillery Network that protected our colony's outer perimeter. Good times.

I woke up today, and wanted to start up Kenshi since I've slowly let my depression tear me away from one of my all time favorite games. I've been spiraling into the darkness of the abyss known as my mind and short of death itself, I thought nothing could shine the light on me and pull me out of the leftover rotten heap. But here, the God's gave me hope with this Ambiguous Amphibian video and the light of the heavens have united my shattered faculties and uplifted me into my younger, more hopeful and formidable mind state. Glory to the state of the crabs. Tip: You can use your human character to pick up crabs that get stuck. Or you can move your human character over to a big free area, save the game. Then reload it and make sure you check the box that asks if you want to move your squads. It'll relocate them to the new area you saved over when you load it up.
