I think hook horrors should have a thunder damage weakness. Having such a fine earing would be sensible to heavy sounds. 5e monsters definitely need more damage weaknesses.

Maybe give it something similar to flesh golems'/yetis' fire aversion trait.

I think you should move the disarm from latching hook to just a roll of 1 on the damage die. Less rolling, and makes sense that if the hook catches on a weapon it hurts less.

I think you got a bit confused with the die for the Latching Hook. The text says to roll a D6, but the results only mention rolling a 3 or above. What happens if you roll a 1 or a 2 on the D6? Shouldn't it be nothing happening on 1-4 and it snatching something on 5-6 (or 1-3 and 4-6 if you still want both outcomes to have an equal chance of happening)?

@@PerkulatorBenny I did mess up that text it's supposed to say "on a 1-4" nothing happens "on a 5-6" the hooks get caught good eyes, I must have been tired! Lol

I'm actually not sure how movement speed works. I thought that no matter which movement form you're using, you only had the base speed to use.
@DmDungeonMastery2 ай бұрын
if you have more than one speed, such as your walking speed and flying speed, you can switch back and forth between your speeds during your move. Whenever you switch, subtract the distance you're already moved from your new speed. The result determines how much farther you can move. If the result is 0 or less, you can't use the new speed during the current move. For example, if you have a speed of 30 and a flying speed of 60 because a wizard cast the Fly spell on you, you could fly 20 feet, then walk 10 feet, and then leap into the air to fly 30 feet more.

Wait, holy shit, move speeds are cumulative????

@@BartholomewFlutist I don't think they actually are but I've been running it like they are for so many years now they are in my game lol
@malachilynch29792 ай бұрын
RAW no. Every time you move, the movement expended is subtracted from all speeds. For example, imagine you have a walk speed of 30, a swim speed of 20, and a fly speed of 60. You move 10 feet to the edge of a river. You can then swim 10 feet further or fly 50 feet further.
