We need a truly current gen rally sim, especially given how much possibilities UE5 can give for the rally stage creation (and sheer pace of doing this). I wish all the modders, coders, stage and car creators could collaborate and get their hands on the UE. The most stopping factor is coding the physics engine for it, i just hope with the right people in the right time we could have it - it was never as possible as nowadays.

I think it really is hard task to beat rbr in terms of realism, as rbr has been improved for years by modders. RBR's physics just feels so natural. And games like WRC tries to sell as much as possible, so full sim isn't option i think..

If you want a sim that is somewhere close to realistic, then RBR is it in terms of feel and physics. It has flaws but the modders are continuously improving it, all the time. If you want a good looking, fun game, the EA WRC game is fine, but it's still a game, not a sim, as all the reviews out so far say.

All you have to do is look at the movement of the car. RBR loose surface. EA WRC, everything is so grippy, like driving with velcro on your tyres.

Current WRC cars have a 0-100 times of 3 to 3,5 seconds ON GRAVEL. Group B had less than 3s. Grip is IN fkn SANE on these cars IRL.

Hi everyone. I only envy the special stages tracks of the "wrc game" series. They are truly immersive, it really feels like taking a side of a mountain and then going up and down it from the opposite side. for the rest RBR until death. long live rallysimfans and all the modders who continue to make RBR fresh

I think that we have seen only the 15-20% about the potential of Rbr (trough the Rsf team of developers and modders). The question is not if ea wrc can beat rbr ,but if Rbr has a limit or not! At the moment Rbr has no limit and with the implementations of 8/10 medium/long stages can be still the king of simrally for the next 7/6 years.

In terms of simulation? No chance, of course since RBR is made to be a simulation and nothing else. WRC is a title that's supposed to sell to millions of people not thousands.

All the new WRC needs is improvement to physics and RBR will go to museum, although RBR is the father of rally sim.

It's not just about the physics, but also the content, moddability, the community. That physics seems like a small detail, but they would basically need to start from scratch to get it to RBR level, which most probably never happen, since it's a different type of product (not going to be a hardcore sim).

I owned the original rbr yrs ago and yes it was good in its day. But the answer is no it's not as good as modern games like dirt rally etc iff they make a new rdr then that would be interesting... i don't see all the hype in rbr its dated terrible audio terrible graphics... no its not as good...

It's the physics that matters, not the graphics. it makes no sense to have modern graphics to drive cars with central pivots that are so popular with children who are only looking for world records in hotlap

I played Dirt 3 with my keyboard long time ago. Didn't know it has good physics. For me it was an arcade game.

I dont bother play an excelent 18 year old game (sim) it was exelent in 2005 and still is in 2023 as you get old you are not pretty when put you on KZbin you are old right? Put it on perpective the wine is getting more tasty and value more😂😂 why you ask is the best rally game? Is a sim yes write it better. I leave my advice dont be ashame of taking 18 year old game as your favorite. EA WRC that i never play before is made to appeal the big market to like WRC in general imo most of the players will be full of it in 1 and a half year
