Yup. You can see it with Washington too. The best way to get injured as an ol is to get overpowered and fall back. It's really a good thing that FSU is giving these kids time to develop.

I wish we kept Bless, and he developed his run blocking. Bless was the best Tackle body/pass blocker we've had in a long time.

With the additions we made in the transfer portal and that coupled with a recommitment to the running game, the OL production should drastically improve.

Is it possible that most defenses we played were more prepared for GT counter this year, possibly explaining why we didn’t get consistent positive gains running it? Or was it more so our lack of execution with running counter?

You guys should make a video about Jake Rizzy. His LT tape at Harvard is amazing and I think he could be great for us. No clue if FSU wants him at tackle or inside though.

Rotating Meche was based on loyalty from him and Atkins time at Charlotte. Jones should be solid all season. LT and C are biggest question marks for me?

I'm not sure that metric exists exactly but I would agree that there was a fair amount of runs to the boundary. That's not inherently a good or bad thing though.

O-line is much better in 24 IMO. DJ will get a full second more than JT ever did and the run block will also be better on counter

Morlock and Bell weren’t good blockers and it caused issues at times in the run game. Honestly, didn’t see any major improvement from the TE position last year as a whole due to the blocking being so bad.

If they aren't any better this year, then it might be time to assume that Atkins is just a better than average coach. He's a good recruiter, but still hasn't brought the top guys in. Maybe overrated just a touch.
