Yeah, the entire album FACE is a chronological record of how Jimin felt during the pandemic and he suggested it be listened to in order to understand it better. Set Me Free, pt 2 is the last song (apart from a hidden love letter song to ARMY which was only available in the actual album 😎) and it reflects his coming to terms with his depression and negativity and finally setting himself free. He is a genius and the album is well worth it!!! He wrote every song himself and RM helped with Like Crazy and another one(I forget which), but it was all him. He is an amazing performer, singer, dancer, songwriter and composer!!💜💜

⚡️Jimin “Set Me Free Pt.2’, it’s everything & more then I could hope for, Jimin’s amazing artistry, his so beyond spectacular,, so mesmerizing, phenomenal performance! The song, Jimin’s vocals, his dancing, the amazing choreography, which aside from the two main choreographers, he had a hand in, offering suggestions, also the amazing backup dancers, the lyrics he wrote, the music he composed as well as being involved in the production, even the set design of the MV. Jimin was hands on, involved with every facet! No wonder the in-house legendary producer for BigHit Pdogg, who worked with Jimin throughout the whole album, stated that “in 2023 K-pop will be ended by Park Jimin”! Seeing this made me that much more excited, for the full album, Jimin’s “FACE” released last yr on March 24, along with his main song ‘Like Crazy’ MV. Jimin’s other songs “Face-Off” (trap beat, absolute fire), “Alone”(hauntingly beautiful vocals), as well as hidden track “Letter” (Jimin plays guitar, meaningful, heartfelt fan song, thanking army for their support), are all equally amazing! Though Jimin’s song ‘Set Me Free Pt.2’, blew me away , meeting all my expectations & then some, I was also not totally surprised, because indeed Jimin is now ‘set free’ from the confines of being part of a group, to now be able to open up full throttle and ‘finally’ be able to release all that he held back for so many yrs! ♦Jimin mentioned that one of his fav movies “Like Crazy” he watched during pandemic, inspired parts of the song aside from the title of song. In the beginning as well as ending to the song, he even uses excerpt wordings, with voice over actors using dialogue more in tune with song, from it. Jimin has also said that many of the songs on the album convey what he was going through, his thoughts, his feelings, his emotions as well as despair & depression, during the pandemic in the last few yrs. He also was hoping that maybe it could help others by way of relating & going through similar difficulties during pandemic. So this song Like Crazy, could also be during that time, thinking back while laying his head down, on table in that depressing small room, dreaming of the better times in the past, when he was free to enjoy himself, as well as being with someone or with friends, or even around ppl in general, being able to be free to go out & party. Which is why he even said in the lyrics please don’t wake me up from this dream. I want to stay here.. Maybe, since dirt or mud means despair, that was what all the dirty grimyness including on his hands in the end, also represented, despair of situation, how he felt or how things were at that time, even when it seemed to even ooze into his dream state.🙏❤‍🔥🔥😅😍🤩🌟✨💫

@@kisi9121 - You brought up more interesting points. But did you know that "Youth/Growth” is in actuality an ambigram with deep meaning, behind his left ear. I, myself wasn’t aware until later on that indeed it is an ambigram that you need to observe more closely to notice. The very fact that ‘growth’ is also there, shows that Jimin is aware that as one grows older one indeed grows in intellect, aware of so much more. Also, the tattoos on back of both his upper arms above elbow, on one's side saying Forever the other saying Young! That song always had a special meaning to him since army first surprised BTS by singing it to them at the 2015 HYYH concert. Which Jimin talked about giving him answers to his questions, of purpose, validating how much he & BTS truly means to army, in a vlog during the time in beginning 2018 when BTS talked & thought about breaking up, when Jimin saw again beginning of 2018 before BTS comeback & going on tour, which was a specially hard time for him. After seeing that vid of Army singing that song, Forever Young, showing such love, support, & meaning of BTS, to army, gave him purpose & reason, validation to go on, especially to Jimin's own existence as an artist!! When Jimin heard Army surprising BTS singing Forever Young at their 2019 Speak Yourself tour concert at Wembley once again!! Jimin was so overcome, especially because of what it meant to him, army singing it, surprising BTS like before, that he not only couldn't stop weeping so overcome, that when BTS performed their closing song Mikrokosmos, right afterwards, Jimin's legs litterly buckled & he sat on the stage all emo through most of that performance! So I also believe that the very fact that Jimin made a point of adding those words tattooed on upper arms soon afterwards, gives an added layer to the reason why that song has such meaning. 🙏🥹👍🥰☺

Like Crazy is not about a failed relationship. Jimin has said the songs on this album FACE are about a depression he was going through during the pandemic. Without BTS’s normal schedule and concert tour (which was canceled), he took to partying and drinking. He thought he was having a great time and lots of freedom, until his friends told him he was out of control. He had to FACE himself.

Jlmin has in the other side makeup,earings, female dancers and another side is more masculine, men dancers. Talking about his both sides ,side by side in him. I think hole album is talking about selfthinking and set me free part2 is for haters. Here is some info on Jimin that I hope will offer you more accurate info on his background & influences:⚡❣Jimin, born October 13, 1995, growing up, since quite young age, even pre mid school, was always into hip hop & r&b music. Aside from Rain, Taeyang, & BoA, Korean idols, known not just for amazing vocals, but their dance ability, Jimin was also heavily influenced, with other role models, such as Chris Brown, & Usher. So it goes to follow he’d also appreciate other equally well known artists who also were amazing dancers & performers aside from vocal ability. It also goes without saying that Jimin, was indeed heavily influenced by MJ. He even taught Jin to moon dance for Dynamite MV, also Jimin was the one that suggested other MJ moves also for BTS song “Dynamite”. Chris Brown’s choreographer Brian Puspos who Jimin is actually close friend with, both having a mutual love admiration & respect for was the one that did the choreography for “Serendipity”. He even said that Jimin dances his choreo better then he does himself! Jimin has also worked with Puspos who restaged not only a Chris Brown song for Jimin before, but also Drake’s “Own It”. Jimin already at early age of 10, started studying hip hop at the renowned Just Dance Academy, in Busan, city where Jimin’s from, which teaches all the many different styles of hip hop. There is even a post made that shows a performance where young again 11 Jimin in 2007, not only performed already, on right front side of stage, but later on went in front and did a solo. JIMIN also competed, excelling in popping, & isolation moves, winning every competition. JIMIN also since a little boy, trained 8 yrs in various forms of martial arts: Taekwondo (blackbelt), Hapkido, Kendo, & Chinese martial arts. Jimin started at such a young age and trained for 8 yrs various forms of martial arts, even saying, as a young boy, that he wanted to be the best swordsman in the world, so he took up Kendo after watching the anime 'One Piece' and wanting to be like his fav character Zoro.. Even when he was a little boy, whatever Jimin did he had to do it to perfection! He even won many competitions and awards for being best, when it came to competing in martial arts as well! 📌Side Note: When learning Taekwondo, as a little boy, I believe Jimin said that doing the splits was one of the first things required to be able to do. Like crazy is not about a failed relationship. As Jimin himself said parts of the mv theme was inspired by the movie of the same name but the song/lyrics are not. They are about what he felt during covid isolation. He was depressed, alone and trying to drown his sorrows.

This album looks back on Jimins depression when covid stopped BTS planned concert tour because of covid.. Jimin said he got very angry and depressed. He did not understand what was going on with him. He was drinking heavily and trying to run away from his feelings. Till a good friend pointed it out when he went over to help them move house. He said after that he started to get better straight away. Helped by the fact that he needed to stop drinking to be fit enough for the Vegas concert. Depression as black goo that sticks to you. Jimins writting like RM use alot of personal feelings that are expanded from the personal to talk about feelings we all go through. Jimin is a very underrated composer and lyricist. RM said he contributed far more to BTS songs than he would take credit for. Despite RMs pressure. Jimin would say it was too small, but often it was the catchiest hook or a beautiful line in the melody.

@jenX_Tunes covid lock down affected alot of us. But Jimin is a performer. They had invested so much in terms of planning and gruelling practice the pay off is performing in front of ARMY, instead it was the big let down, followed by isolation and at a time when they were no longer all living together. So the support mechanism they relied on of laughter squabbling and affection that they had developed was gone and it had not been long enough to develope new strategies for coping. It was not just Jimin who struggled with these things. Each in their own ways found this a hard but transformative experience. We see it in the music they wrote themselves. They laughed at JKs house when he moved out because he had mattresses in every room. I always thought in his mind he was hoping there would be times when they would all be staying over.

Also, not sure if you’re aware, but on the physical album, Jimin’s song for army “Letter” starts exactly at 6:13 minutes into the cd, which is the date BTS debuted (6/13/13). I believe there is also a rather newer posted compilation from channel TheJiminVideos that has a compilation of Jimin live raw vocals, called 🔥❣️BTS Jimin doesn’t need autotune (live raw vocals). It's why the song sounds so dreamy and the video is out of focus at times with only Jimin clearly visible to show how lonely he is (which leads into the next song Alone). He also acts like he's drunk and having fun (see his words in the behind the scenes of the Like Crazy MV) to show the denial he is in (he even makes a drinking motions at one point, while pointing to the audience/ camera). It's difficult to fully understand the song outside of the context of the album because Face was written like a chronological diary entry of his feelings through the pandemic an as a way to face himself. There are also theories that the girl in the video is his anima (the feminine side in men from Jungian psychology) because of the choreography that you haven't seen yet and what Jimin said about facing himself. And he used the visual feel and themes of the movie Like Crazy, which he likes, in this MV and the dialogue at the beginning and end is also from this movie ( it was recorded by voice actors). Also I think he speaks to the alkohol, or the whole situation, instead of another person when he says things like "Let me have a taste", "each night you spin me up high", "give me a good ride", because he says "I'm fallin", "I'm feeling so alive wasting time" and "this is gonna break me", which means he's still a little bit aware of the dangers of his escapism, but wants to forget and drown his thoughts in alkohol "It's gonna be a good night". He talked about these themes on Suchwita a little bit, but he's quite a private person, so he didn't say much. In fact, almost all BTS love songs are about or dedicated to ARMY or are more than they seem. They are famous for the depth and complexity of their lyricism and the depth and complexity of their relationship with ARMY. It's more than an artist - fan connection. We consider one another one family. BTS tell us that they love us more than their own families, and I believe them. They have certainly cried about it enough times when talking to us in concerts or live streams. They really love us, even more than we love them. It's truly a unique and reciprocal relationship of trust and deep devotion.
