Getting Over It's physics are very consistent; they're just unfamiliar. That's what makes it possible for the game to have such a high skill ceiling and for a casual player to have that feeling of improvement as they progress in the game. Something like Jump King isn't any less janky, it just looks a little more like what people have seen before

I agree except for the jump king part, jump kings physics are very cut and dry with how simple it's controls are, getting over it is for sure more janky but you're right that's what makes its skill ceiling so high

as a top tier getting over it speedrunner (sub 1:30 pb) i think that the physics of the game are very clean and just a tad bit janky (with exception of some glitches) it's not valve games level of physics, but very acceptable from a game just made from one person, i like the diverse movement and tech with the game, and it has a lot more then what meets the eye, i understand and i respect your opinion about the game, and ig everyone has a diffrent feeling playing the game. i can overlook the free assists taken from the unity store, but he justified doing it in-game (although it's quiet lacking) but hey, at the end of the day, we are just some games doing some challenges.

I've always felt it was weird that he never released another map or dlc of some sort.

it was made as a commission for humble bundle so not sure how that would work since he might not have all the rights to it
