Not easy for Benavidez, hard fight for both, the monster is on his way up of his career,focused,mentally strong,in his prime,we have not seen all of his potential yet,this fight will show us the best of Benavidez and his future as champion.

Gvozdyk is a classic European boxer. He's well rounded and a proper light heavyweight. But he will make Benavidez look good. Styles make fights and I think he is tailor made for David.

But I'll bet you cannot provide a reasonable explanation to back up that statement. Articulate why you think Govzdyk's style will play right into the hands of a guy who stands straight up and flat footed. This is such a bad matchup for David and with the Vegas odds as wide as they are, makes me think this fight is fixed. A Gvozdyk who wasn't paid to dive and in his prime KO's David in 8. A 37 year old Govzdyk still decisions Bena in a fight he's not paid to lose in. Everyone in the know, knows that Gvozdyk came back for $$$ only. He lost his shirt in Ukraine real estate when the war started. He needs some scratch and this payday (including the dive $$) makes him whole. Beterbiev already ended his boxing career in 2019.

@@jonathanbriones3235 Yup, and now that the 'fight' has finished you and I look either like Nostradamus or just a couple of guys who know this once great, but now sadly corrupt, sport. Tonight's rigged fight was EXACTLY like the Conelo/ Kovalev 'fight' with Gvozdyk throwing baby shots all night at Benavidez with Benavidez firing back his best shots which did NOTHING to the paid off Gvozdyk. If Benavidez steps to the winner of Beter/Bivol he'll get demo'd if it's Beter and embarrassed over 12 if it's Bivol. Benavidez is B level at best. I think an unpaid off Callum Smith Knocks him out tbh.

I've only seen Gvozdyk's fights against Adonis Stevenson and Beterbiev. Years ago, now. He had light, nimble, nifty footwork like his countrymen Loma and Usyk; constantly changing angles and levels; very quick, sharp combinations; good power. All that, and a bit bigger than Benavidez. I don't know what effect the years off have had, but I wouldn't be shocked if he wins.

But for those of us who waited for this fight to happen for 3+ years this is nothing short of a miracle. He was a side B against AJ and Fury and yet he won by points, that doesn't happen often.

@Jackinthebox47 Your opinion. Plant was not stopped and he is smaller guy. David doesn't get hurt not because he can take a big punch, its because his offense is his defense. When he punches in bunches, fighters shell up and dont throw. When he is not throwing, his hands are up. We will see tomorrow.

Gvozdyk is the real deal for sure; Benavidez is swinging with the big boys now and Gvozdyk is a top contender in this division (even if his current rating doesnt reflect that, due to inactivity); he had Beterbiev on the brink of defeat .. so definitely a very hard test for the Mexican Monster The thing that mostly speaks for Benavidez (outside of his strenghts as a fighter and despite some of his technical flaws), is that he has a natural visciousness .. he really enjoys this sh*t, hits with bad intentions and has a nastiness to his approach that is rare

Benavidez has good stamina so I don’t see him fading and Gvozdyk taking over. However, it’s possible that Benavidez stamina looks good because he hasn’t fought someone to really challenge him yet? Hard to say, but I’m just hoping for an entertaining bout!

@@Ashley-s4n2u David doesn't put anyone to sleep and if you didn't just start watching boxing last month you would know that. Beterbiev, who hits twice as hard as Benavidez, didn't KO Gvozdyk. The Ukrainian just ran out of steam from the sustained beating Beterbiev put on him. Benavidez would be wise not to try and just club a guy out who could likely put him to sleep. Remember son, the bigger one punch guy in this contest is without a doubt Gvozdyk. He almost killed a man in the ring and has multiple 1 punch KO's, whereas Bena doesn't have a single one and that's against supermiddles. This a pick'em fight and with the betting odds the way they are, it may not be a bad idea to put some dough on Gvozdyk, by TKO.

Teddy as I said before I have been tuned into you for almost 40 years. Being inactive at 37 years of age is a dangerous place to be against an active champion. Don’t make that bet. It’s throwing your money out the window. Inactive and old. That’s not where I want my hard earned money to be. Take a shot with Juan Francisco Estrada over Bam Rodriguez. The odds will be ok. Much better value.

Gvozdyk was winning on 2 of the judges scorecard but no way he was actually winning inside the ring going into the tenth. He gave a great account of himself, just crazy not to have had Beterbiev up on the cards when he irrefutably landed the more effective telling shots, to the head and to the body.

Even Pacquiao, brutally knocked out by Marquez, came back and dominated his opponents. l'm not impressed with Benavidez. He's a weight bully fighting bum, small opponents. I've watched his previous fights. He doesn't have real one-punch knockout power. It's just the activity, the accumulation of punches that make him finish his opponents. @Phil-dx8rw Gvozdyk is 37 years old, the same age as Bud Crawford, Usyk, and Loma. He is nowhere near retired. He had an injury in 2019 when he fought Beterbiev and contemplated retirement but took time off instead.

@Phil-dx8rw Gvozdyk has 255 amateur fights, is a former world champion, an Olympic bronze medalist, and is a very technical fighter with power. He put the hard-hitter Stevenson in a coma. Gvozdyk's only loss was to the real monster Beterbiev. Beterbiev is ten times stronger than an ordinary boxer. If David fought Beterbiev, he would get flattened in less than three rounds.

Benavides last two fights have been with good fighters that have been out of boxing a couple years. Why? Andrade haven’t fought in 2 years. Now he is fighting this guy that has been out 4 years and had 3 fights with less than 10 rounds. It’s a weird coincidence. Let’s see what happens.

Trust me, Benavidez will be destroyed in this fight. Gvozdyk is a naturally gifted 175-pounder with 255 amateur fights under his belt. He is a highly technical fighter with power. Gvozdyk is a former world champion; he put the hard hitter Stevenson in a coma. His only loss was to Beterbiev. Benavidez is not a one-punch knockout boxer. It's the accumulation of punches that makes him look good and allows him to knock out his opponents. However, he is a weight bully, flat-footed with no head movement, and has fought his entire career in a lower weight class. His power will not be enough at 175 pounds. Easy money for this fight. I bet $5k of my hard-earned money on Gvozdyk.

Benavidez will be more of a monster at this weight. He was weight drained for a very longtime and destroyed everyone. He destroys this Russian within 8 rounds. If he decides to trade he will be put to sleep b4 4 rounds. Cannelo is staying away from this guy becuase he gets knocked out. This guy beats the cheat juiced up beterbiev by knock out and he beats Bivol which will be his hardest test.

Your right he was never weight drained, but I do believe he beats Canelo maybe not by KO, but he wins I believe and I think that's why Canelo doesn't want to take the risk. And I don't think Canelo is scared, I just don't think he wants to risk it and he doesn't has to. Canelo is the face of boxing and he has well deserved it fighting a lot of tuff fights so he has the right to take it easy making easy money. But I would like to see that fight happen between him and DB, but I'm okay with not seeing it also.

THIS IS A MATCH MISTAKE BY PBC. Benavidez has been fighting in a lower weight class his whole career, where he has a significant advantage against smaller opponents. Let's see how he reacts this Saturday when he gets hit by a naturally strong 175-pounder. He's not used to taking punches from a bigger guy at 175. When Pacquiao moved up a weight class and fought Margarito, although Pacquiao won, he admitted that moving up a class was very dangerous and that he felt the body shots from Margarito. Manny was badly hurt. Canelo moved up a division and got beaten by Bivol. Similarly, Callum Smith stepped up to 175 and got flattened by Beterbiev. Moving up to a higher weight class is very risky, especially if you're not used to their stronger punches

Olek is first opponent who is way bigger than benavidez!! Benavidez been weight bullying the smaller guys in smaller weight classes just like zurdo!! Bivol will school him to an easy UD victory with his defense!! And beterbiev will KO benavidez!! Benavidez has been the bigger puncher in all his fights until he faces beterbiev he is not!!
