They are the same here, you must have radioactive fish. I lived in MS and when I pulled a bluegill out they said it was brim. Here is the internets descriptions as well *The bluegill (Lepomis macrochirus), sometimes referred to as "bream", "brim", "sunny", or, as is common in Texas, "copper nose"*
