Hello from Orange County, California! 😎 Thank you very much for all the valuable knowledge. At age 26, I’d like to think I’m a beginner with hoolah hooping. I began hooping because I had shoulder joint pain pressing 20 lbs. Half a year later, it’s zero pain with cracking. I need to get further studies but the cracking is may be to my thyroid health problems and lack of minerals and/or nutrients. I am a Public Health advocate and one of my goals is to find activities that will bring health/ longevity/ prevention/ endurance/ strength/ confidence/ FLOW ❤/ challenges/ healthy and uplifting community. I am so happy to have said yes to hooping. I intend to use this amazing and fun resource for as long as I can keep moving. I am so excited to have found this page. I love how graceful and mesmerizing Bee Varga is with her performances. You are freaking awesome and jaw dropping beautiful in all your videos. Thank you once again mammas 🎉

Hello from Latvia, Darling! Soak up a little extra sunshine for me, please 🤪 here life now feels like I moved into a freezer 🤣 snow and ice everywhere and darkness! Weirdly I actually I like it most days! if the weather was nice: I would be out & about playing with my hoop & would not get anything done 🤣 this weather helps me 'adulting' 🤣 Pretty exciting that you are 26!!!! because I was same sort of age like you when I was a beginner. I was 25 ( almost 26 ) when I first started & now I am over 40 - still hooping & most days it blows my mind to remember being in my skin before hooping and how wildly different I am feeling now! I did not think I was super disconnected or extremely unskilled or unfit. I felt I was normal... But over the years I got so fit and somehow unlocked features of my different body parts with hooping that I never imagined were possible. The stuff I can feel and the way I can move now: I did not think anybody could feel or do that! Not just feeling fit! I do feel a lot fitter than ever before but I also have this 'finesse'. Like if my body got fine-tuned and sophisticated and I am feeling the connection to all parts of it. Like a conductor of an orchestra: I can make it all play in delicious harmony! I never knew I had zero harmony. Just knew I had pains in the past here & there but I managed to get through my days & get jobs done... Hooping taught me to exist for myself - to matter - to focus & pay high level of attention like I never ever did! We are so conditioned to focus everywhere else! Focus on studies, getting jobs, making ends meet, run a household, meet deadlines, chores, OUTSIDE FOCUS at all times! You are at the perfect age now to un-learn that in time! You could be 40 or 60 and it would be a little harder! but now you will pick up this wonderful skill of giving yourself undivided focus!!!! and where attention goes: energy flows! Hard to describe but it is amazing! At the time I was thinking that after having kids & getting older it is all downhills... because everywhere I looked: that was what I saw... but let me tell you: it is just up, up & UP! Enjoy Your UP UP UP!!!!!! Your mind will be blown! You will fall so madly in love with life & your body & even the life events that brought you to this point! Everything will make perfect sense & you will THRIVE, SOAR, ENJOY ABUNDANCE & WELLNESS!!!! Amen 🙏

Absolutely informative. I’ve been hooping for a few years and use a variety of moves , squats, lunges and dance with hula . As you mentioned about the weighted hula and a thickness I totally get as I noticed this also . You’ve explained everything so In depth for all to understand. I’m currently doing my level 2 fitness to which hooping isn’t learned . But like yourself and many followers it’s mentally stimulating and fun . Your in amazing shape and a great inspiration to many !

Many thanks, Louisa 💖 I hope you're enjoying your level 2 💐 well done for getting the education. Never stop, there's always so much to learn and discover. The world of anatomy & physiology is mind-blowing and can help us understand and achieve 💪 Your body is going to constantly change and respond to the activities you do. I've seen lots of people religiously using their weighted hoops daily even in the gym to then feel frustrated that their waist just got more solid and thicker. But it's OK, we learn and move on. Once anyone puts the heavy hoop away and starts doing the things that actually do help to shrink their waist: it will shrink back. It is just volume training: over training one area and the body responds to that with the excess muscle mass. But when the over training calms down around the core, the muscles will soon move to places where you use them the most. So for a less thick waist I always recommend training glutes and shoulders. Lots of balance moves, weight bearing moves, fun inversions. That really sculpts an hourglass ⌛️ shape. Unfortunately the weighted hoops do exactly the opposite... Have fun doing your studies 💖 I wish you lots of success 💖💖💖😚

Means so much to me! Sometimes it feels like I'm talking into the void & nobody cares even though in these videos I am actually answering most frequently asked questions and responding to frustrations hula hoopers express to me. Some days it feels like people like to complain but don't want any solutions and don't want to listen. Whereas when we focus on solutions that suddenly feels like fairy dust sprinkled over our whole day and life ✨️ Then there are no problems and frustrations but success and triumphant workouts & smashed goals 🏆🌟✨️💫 we often tend to keep doing the same thing over and over again and get annoyed when nothing changes... but change is on the doorstep, simple and super- available to us all, stimulating & refreshing & bringing vitality and joy 🌟🌟🌟 happy hooping, Gorgeous 😚💋

Hi Bee. Love your videos. This video is so informative. It answers questions I didn't even know I had. I really needed to know the difference between gaining muscle and slimming the waist. That's key. I'm an avid hooper, but have progressed only so far. Yet I hoop daily. Won't be using my weighted hoop now due to your explanation. Your videos were the reason I initially learned to waist hoop. Yes, I actually did bounce a small weight on a string around my neck to learn how to waist hoop. Your explanations are by far the best of any hooper online. You explain and break down moves so that even I can follow.

Very well done! Hooping daily is a commitment 💖 so glad you learned to waist hoop, too 👌 overall muscle is a good thing and it increases metabolism and strengthens bones but we don't need it in excess or without a balance. I do like muscle and I am happy with the amount I've got. Hooping with a lighter hoop can still be a great resistance workout when doing different moves and no need for big abusive heavy hoops. Thank you so much for your kind words, means a lot to me that you took the time to comment 🙏 happy hooping 💖💖💖

Thank you, gorgeous 💖 most people think I just hula hoop all day so they talk themselves out of even trying - they believe they can only make a difference if they have all day to workout... but I'm super not working out all day! Most of the day I'm just staring at a laptop exercising only my fingers on the keyboard & mouse... I would love everyone to believe in themselves because every minute makes a difference. If we don't even start and do nothing of course we achieve nothing. But even a few minutes can make us feel physically and mentally better and it all adds up. Food is my weakness 🤣 I'm an absolute pig 🤣 I love flavours! I grow lots of berries and fruit and I make them into jam and compote or dried or candied berries... then I devour them in different ways - used to work as a chef in France when I was young and I picked up too many skills with delicious food 🤣 now that I have a little girl we even make food as a craft activity 🤣🤣🤣🤣 we make pasta and pastries, bliss balls, chocolate truffles... then we feast together 😋 but I tell you: it is joy and magic to eat all this and then it is also joy and pleasure to have the energy to move my body and play. So it's all good 👍 but definitely it is becoming a skill to work it off: I had to develop my workout style to make sure I work at an intensity that helps me stay in shape. Because to the sedentary part of my work I cannot do much: got to be done... and it's a lot of hours of not moving... so the time I have left I use wisely and my workouts are structured. The older we are getting the smarter we have to work 🤣 or play 🤪✨️💫🌟 happy wiggling and playing to You 💋😚

@Bee Varga The Hulahooper hi! I'm 6mpp starting exercising (high risk and complications) I definitely have a weak core. I see you don't recommend a weighted hula hoop. Can you explain a little more as to why? I just bought one but ill return it. Where'd you get yours and what size hulahoop should I get? How long did it take for results to start? I'd love to do this as my main exercise. I use to have a core of steel when I was younger and oddly enough I used to hulahoop all the time. Had a tiny waist too. Hopefully I can get back in good shape. Want to keep up with my son.

Hi Bee! I love your videos. My fitness goals are very much the same as yours. Get/stay fit and enjoy my body as I age building strength, stamina and flexibility. Eventually I’d like to do gymnastics on my horse, and learn all arial arts but right now I’ll settle for being able to use a wheelbarrow for more than 20 minutes without being sick with a migraine for the next 3 days. Before I moved to Haida Gwaii I was an equine sport therapist for 10 hours years (I specialized in deep tissue massage for horses) I now experience migraines if I do any type of training of training involving my arms, which is very disappointing because I recently learned to juggle while teaching a circus camp with a friend at our local school. Wow that must be terribly annoying ... I can imagine you're missing out on lots of things that usually bring you joy. To learn to let go of attachments and try new things or try things differently. I'm glad you're still not giving up but working around it and doing your best. Gorgeous Elgin : the amount of confidence and charity and muscles and discoveries coming your way is HUGE! I've been now 14 years hooping full time... I'm still learning so much. The style of hooping I do is absolutely for sculpting a physique. The training protocols applied help putting healthy amount of beautiful but also balanced muscle on the body -balanced is important- I don't like to over-train one area, I like to think of agonist / antagonist, anterior / posterior, extensor / flexor pairs and sides so this way we don't over-use and cause tightness but elongate as well as strengthen and it's also an antidote for contemporary sitting and forward folded lifestyle and even "mother bodies" that develop imbalance from carrying children! So the universe loves us both, it brought us together, both of us interested in the same things 💖💖💖 working towards the same goals 💖 happy weekend, gorgeous 😚😚😚

🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 Thank you for this amazing video !! Yesterday i came across a video in which someone was telling that the only way to lose weight and look lean was lifting weight and go to the gym to do these repetitive and boring workouts (personal opinion) that i hâte só much. Then i went hiking later this Day and told myself that it was impossible not getting fit by moving the body... And that i'd rather prefer going on hikes and pick up plants for my dinner, and the next Day go for a run, hoop a bit everyday, do some Yoga while enjoying every activité, than forcing myself to do some crunches! And for me, variety is the healthiest.. And i mean it for all in life! Consistency but variety! At least this has been my technique in life to stay stimulated and not fall asleep. It is a "trend" now to lift weights. Not sure why they claim that's the only way to look lean... maybe it is a great way to get people into gyms, sell them protein shakes... magic teas and belts and all that jazz 🤣 then once they grated their joints with all that friction and repetitive movements then they can get joint health products and massages and physiotherapy... What you're doing sounds brilliant and that will help you be healthy, happy and fit as well as lean. I am out a lot with my little girl, too, we live in the woods and do lots of foraging for mushrooms and other wild edibles. It is superior nutrition and more divine than the gym protein shakes and chicken breast & rice and broccoli that is supposedly another trending way to get lean... even their diet, their movement, it's all repetitions of the same. But the Universe gave us seasons... there's certain kinds of mushrooms and berries growing at different times of the year... and we grow veg and salads and fruit in our garden: that is seasonal, too. We are so blessed with abundance that is there for us to enjoy. Deprivation is not a nice way to spend a life... enjoy the fresh air, sunshine, proper nutrition and variety in movement, you're doing an excellent job 💖😚👌

But I also learn by seeing and touching have helped me understand why that's not what I need. @M B when you get active you will be hungry. Do make sure that you nourish yourself. I found that things like sunflower seeds, almonds, walnuts, tomatoes... generally: good fats and vitamin c and all really feed our skin beautifully. When I saw my skin after giving birth I just never wanted to look at myself ever again. I never looked so stretched and soft in my life. Like when you deflate a balloon. I am not that obsessed about my looks in general but that felt horrible. When I got back into hooping after having my daughter I nourished my cells with skin food. Vitamins and minerals and good fats that you can easily enjoy as delicious food. When we get active we get ravenous. Your food could be a huge part of what helps your skin rejuvenate itself! And your muscles & fascia will help to give it all a lovely firm foundation to hold it all tight. So never starve yourself but eat divine nutrition. Think about yourself like an Olympic athlete. For you to perform well and have the body of a goddess you need divine nutrition. Depletion makes us tired and lazy and slow and bitter and frustrated and our cells cannot replace themselves with shiny new healthy cells... but have some sympathy: think about what you need to eat to treat those cells and encourage them to produce fit, sexy, satisfied, happy cells 💖 it will do the trick with the hooping. Hooping stimulates blood flow to your skin. It will be like a whip 🤣 your hoop will tell your skin to giddy up, chop chop, we don't have all year... we want to see the magic ASAP 💫 and in a blink you shall see it all 💖

Hi Mariah, what would you like to learn? I use the wooden ones every day. They are the ones I use for my own training. For tutorials I sometimes would still pick plastic hoops up but otherwise I use wooden. They are my favourite but really it depends on goals, what one would like to achieve. With my wooden ones wedgies, escalators and some popular moves are not really possible but for all the moves that I like to do, I can use wooden.

First of all, anyone who tell you you're fat has some serious body-image issues, and deserves help and compassion more than anything else. Or maybe you should come and visit the Caribbean where I live, where skinny is still more of an insult than a complement 😅. To answer you question about goals, I always feel lie I'm in the middle... I have led a fairly active life, I love to dance and jump on and off different exercises things, but I've never really lost the layer of baby-fat (as my body-builder friend calls it) to look shredded. (She was surprised how strong I was when we went to the gym.) Menopause, an overly stressful and sedentary time in my life have increased that layer and given me a flat tire around the middle I never had before (and would love to never have again!) So yes, transforming that layer of fat and flabbiness is a physical goal. But holistic well-being is the main thing. Keeping body and mind strong, agile, flexible, and well oiled. I was wondering, sometimes I think I need the boost of happy hormones to keep going. Can you tell us how long it takes to get those flowing? Can taking 5 or ten minutes hula breaks help keep that energy and motivation going? (I work at home and set my own hours, so could do that...)

Mike Tyson said: "THE INTERNET HAS MADE PEOPLE TOO COMFORTABLE WITH DISRESPECTING OTHERS WITHOUT GETTING PUNCHED IN THE FACE." So when people keep telling me I’m too fat or too skinny or too old, too young, talk too much, don’t talk enough…. Then I have to remind myself that this is content that I create with hard work and generously share so people can access it free of charge - if they have nothing nice to say, really they could just click away… but they take their time leaving mean comments… and I think offline they would never be so brave. Anyways, I agree with skinny not being a compliment! 5-10 minutes of hooping a day is a brilliant start. Your body will get accustomed to it though so it’s great if you can increase the intensity slightly. You can move your arms, legs, dance around while hooping and maybe eventually you could look into tricks and moves. It’s very good for the brain to take the mind off things and give ourselves our undivided attention ❤️ Very well done for focusing on solutions and opportunities- you sound like a super positive energetic person with a desire to thrive and keep trying your best 👌🏾❤️ as long as you keep trying and enjoy the process and move your body: your body will always reward you ❤️❤️❤️ you deserve it 💋 keep shining bright, Darling ❤️🌟✨💐

Can weighted hula hooping help with abdominal small hernia or diastasis recti ?
@BeeVargaTheHulahooper
@BeeVargaTheHulahooper 9 ай бұрын
Weighted hula hooping can be a fun and engaging way to work on your core strength, which might indirectly help with abdominal concerns like a small hernia or diastasis recti. However, it's crucial to consult your doctor or a healthcare expert before starting any new exercise routine, especially if you have pre-existing conditions. They can offer personalized advice and guidance tailored to your situation - they are the ones who can have a look and scan & advise because every individual can be quite different. Stay positive and take steps towards your well-being - you've got this! 💪🌟 a heavy hoop tough I do not generally recommend. It is better to use a medium weight hoop 💗

Of course! If there's a way you can add some weight to help you use it, please do. To figure out what we need to do and to get fitter: we can start heavier but when you feel that it is usable, getting easier and you're ready for a challenge, you can be pushed a little more: that is when I would take the weight off - reduce it gradually. If it is so light that you cannot even use it then of course it will help you achieve nothing... turn it into a hoop that you can use and get started with 💪 enjoy every second, gorgeous Francheska 💋 sorry about the delay, Easter with my daughter is always full on - she always demands all my eyeballs and ears and calories 🤣 she's a high intensity kid 🤣 hope you had a happy Easter and you are excited about all the things you can achieve hula hooping 💋💋💋

You will get fit and you can shed the weight and you can achieve so much more. Always keep focusing on your small wins 🏆 that will keep you motivated! Often people only allow themselves to be happy when they reach their goals and dislike themselves and their bodies while they are trying to get into shape. But if you focus on the smaller achievements and gains then you will keep going and you achieve so much more than you can imagine. I celebrate even if I was such a good girl that I did my workout even if I only had 10 minutes. I celebrate when I learn a new trick. I experience joy even if I got a little stronger on my weaker side than before. So my best advice: celebrate your every step forward, feel victorious even if there's no huge fireworks. The results will come as long as you do not give up. 🙏 You are going to make phenomenal changes and your life will be completely different ✨️ believe in that 💖💖💖

Can I have a litter slimer waist and a little abs?
@BeeVargaTheHulahooper
@BeeVargaTheHulahooper Жыл бұрын
Chances are: you already have the abs... Most people think when they have a bit of fat around their midsection that they need to put more muscle there. They want abs. But it is likely they already have stunning abs but it's just covered up in a layer of fat. When we keep banging out reps and reps of abs exercises we gain the muscle mass: sure we get abs. But they still will be looking fat because the muscle mass increased but the body fat is still covering up. That is when people are annoyed they are not looking shredded from hooping around the waist... they won't. They have to move about and get a little sweaty and not just stand in one place waist hooping comfortably but while hooping do different moves.

You're lovely, many many thanks, means a lot to me 💋 I'd been hooping for 15 years now so it took a while to get here. When I had my daughter 8 years ago, a little hooping was all I managed to fit into my days around childcare and work and since then I'd had to come up with ways I can reduce the duration of my workouts and increase the intensity. That really helped with muscle mass. If I still had time to workout as much as I used to before becoming a mum, I would probably overtrain and waste my gains. But because I have little time, that I use strategically and it made a big difference. Keep hooping, it really works, you can achieve anything that you desire 💪✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️

Thanks for sharing your perspective 🫶🙏 While it's true that maintaining a balanced diet is important for overall health, using a hoop can be a fun way to engage your muscles and potentially contribute to toning when combined with a healthy lifestyle. It's always good to explore different fitness options that work best for each individual. Unfortunately too many people choose to deprive themselves and end up with eating disorders, obsessing over calories. When people gain lean muscle mass, it helps their metabolism, works up an appetite and if people choose to consume the right foods, they will achieve their desired fit-looking and fit-feeling physique. Exercise also helps with confidence, it boosts production of hormones like Dopamine, Endorphin & Serotonin - basically movement can make us feel happier and when we are happy we do not comfort eat or feel insecure browsing the internet, feeling inadequate. It is a very hard time we live now, hard to feel good enough when we are bombarded by all the visuals and messages of the online world. Exercise can contribute to how we feel and the inches start dropping when we are in a good place mentally & emotionally. You are absolutely right though! Nutrition is a key factor. One of many.

@jacky.asmara thank you for this 🙏🙌❤️ indeed, eating less does not work for everyone. Unfortunately lots of people are already eating too little - they deprive themselves instead of choosing to do a bit of exercise. Many would rather starve than sweat. But exercise is a friend. It helps with metabolism, increases bone density, increases insulin sensitivity, helps hormone balance... gives us a nice firm toned body... helps us sleep better, helps us get stronger and more flexible so we can perform tasks better.... lots of benefits and none of those are achieved by eating less... eating disorders are very damaging and can get out of hand. A bit of exercise can be super beneficial & help us have more fun ❤ Obsessing over food is not that much fun...

@@jasmy3661 that's just fat distribution. Also, your waist/tummy area holds more fat than other areas of the body. E.g. when you lose weight, it's one of the last areas you notice fat loss. You're underweight but still have a 'fatty' tummy because you have lower muscle mass, hence a higher body fat %. I take my comment back. For you to lose your tummy fat, you need to increase your lean muscle mass whilst maintaining (or increasing) your body weight. You definitely shouldn't lose any more weight
