2. Can only catch the first Pokémon on each Route (Species Clause)

Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
4. No items in battle (held items okay)
5. No leveling past the next gym leader/E4's ace (at the START of the battle)
6. Play on "Set" battle mode

My attempt at a story using the 6 actors/pokemon picked for the E4 gauntlet. Jason segal's icecream van breaks down just before sunset, by the side of a long and winding road to nowhere, after venting his frustrations he calls up spike Lees 24h towing services and arranges for spike to come and tow him the remaining 6.9 km to town. After waiting for a while it becomes dark, it is then that Jason begins to hear strange and feral noises escaping from within the dense forest that sat behind a winding river that lay off to the other side of the road. Jason is uneasy and gets back in his icecream van, he puts on the radio and waits for spike. Fortunately for jason, spike arrives soon after, but unfortunately for both, spikes van hits a stray branch in the dark upon arrival which shreds the tyres on the right side of his van and lodges in the back wheel arch. Both mobile signals are lost and it's starting to get even darker, there are no stars in the sky tonight and the moon is hidden behind thick smokey clouds. The two start to argue about the cause of spikes accident. Minutes later, while they stood arguing, yet now about the best Olympic synchronised diving team, Adele begins to drives up the road, and- by not seeing the two men up until the last second because she was putting on make-up, has to aggressively swerve left to avoid hitting them, and by doing so her car skids off the road, it slides towards the river but hits a solitary tree perched by the waters edge before it could drop beneath the icy depths. The two men rush down to save her, they pull her out of the wreckage and upto the van, as they get back to the road Jason manages to get signal on his phone again, he calls emergency services and tells them that three people have broke down and that there has been a car accident, he gives the operator the name of the road but before he could give a precise location his signal goes once again. He throws his phone in frustration towards the river and it hits something hard with a thudding whack before splashing in the water. Jason peers into the darkness and sees, for a brief moment, a disfigured humanoid with long black hair half submerged in the inky black water, right where he had threw his mobile moments ago, and then the gaunt figure slowly sank beneath the foamy liquid. Jason frantically alerts the other two, who are immediately sceptical and question if he is either drunk or sleep deprived, to which he tells them that he doesn't care what they think, and that he's not staying put in the middle of nowhere with some ghoul stalking them from the shadows. And so he begins to hastily walk down the unlit road towards town. A piercing screech comes again, spilling out from deep within the sea of trees that blanket the earth sundered by the water, and then a harrowing cry to accompany it. Spike and Adele jog to catch Jason and the three hurry down the road. Packed together like sardines in a tin can, and following the dim light flickering from spikes small pocket torch they see a large old house upon a hill. The 3 rush over and begin to bang on the door, frequently shining the torch back into the darkness to look for the source or the disturbing noises they had heard a moment before and make sure nothing was following them. After a minute or two of hammering a pale light flicks on through the misted pane of glass that sat in the middle sturdy of the oak door, and a young man answered. It is Paul dano. He quickly invites the group in and tells them that they should make themselves comfortable while he contacts a friend who will come by and give them a lift back to town, as Paul himself does not drive. They gratefully accept his offer and he tells them to please wait in the living room. Jason is sceptical of the man and wants to keep walking but the others convince him to stay. A few minutes later Paul returns with a soft smile on his face and a tray full of hot beverages, he tells the three that his friend should be here in about thirty minutes and that the group should just relax until then, he hands out the drinks and tells them that he has to use the bathroom and so excuses himself again. Spike and Adele immediately begin to drink but Jason waits to see how they react, suspecting that the drinks are poisoned or spiked, but it doesn't take long for him to begin to sip at the hot beverage. The liquid tastes strange but quite pleasant. About 20 minutes pass and the three begin to feel strange, at first it was dizziness and then after that a nauseating mixture somewhat between drunk and delirious, then shortly after that they begin to lose ability to move, it started with the fingers and toes but before the realised it was too late. Their bodies had gone cold and their voices now a husky whisper. The three desperately clawed towards the door, but halfway there Paul returned. He began to tell them the story of the banshee of river Tib, and how she demanded sacrifices of Paul to keep her within the waters of the river, as she did with his father, and his father and so forth, he tells them how one year he had to give up his son and another his wife. While he spoke he tied the three up, and he tells them that he will be the last ever sacrifice as he has nobody to pass the torch to, and then there is a knock at the door. He leaves the bodies out of sight and answers the door. It's police officer sharlize, she asks if he has seen or heard a group of 3 people in the past half 30 minutes but he polietly he replys no, she thanks him for his cooperation and carries on driving towards town. Paul closes the door when she is out of sight then loads Jason, Spike and Adele onto the back of his truck, which was parked out of view by the side of a large rickety shed. He drives down to a small clearing by the water and drops the three down. Paul blows a whistle which produces an eerie flat note and the water begins to bubble. He shouts "I have three here for you! This has to give me a year at least!". And from the silence a silhouette emerged from the murky depths and entered the light, a wild Gwyneth Paltrow had appeared. (Rush job, if anyone actually decided to read this ha)

QoTD: Have the actors voice their respective Pokémon in a Pokémon Mystery Dungeon movie. Also, if there’s any ROM hack that I think would be interesting to Nuzlocke, I would check out Touhoumon World Link Revised or Touhoumon Purple. Both are entries to the long-running Touhou fan game series Touhou Puppet Play (nicknamed Touhoumon) as they replace all available Pokémon with various characters from the Touhou Project video game series. The former ROM hack features a slightly modified Pokémon type chart, while the latter uses an entirely new type chart. Both hacks are based on Emerald, and both feature Gen 4 QoL changes like the Physical/Special split, so they might be worth checking out.

I think you should do a run where you catch only the first six pokemon you meet and do a nuzlocke only using them the entire game. Another suggestion is a nuzlocke using only pokemon with 4x weaknesses.

I like the 4x weakness idea. It got me brainstorming which generation it would work best in. 2, 5, and 8 are out of the question because none of the starters has a 4x weakness--likewise, Gen 6 only works if you *don't* fully evolve the starter, since none of the fully evolved starters has a 4x weakness, but Rowlet and Dartrix do (that said, Eviolite Dartrix is reasonably tanky.) The apparent options are Charizard, Swampert, Torterra, Chesnaught, and Meowscarada. _But..._ there is in fact one generation in which the challenge can both begin right away, and the starter can reach its final form. It's Generation I. See, there were a few changes to the type chart between Generations 1 and 2, and among them was the relationship between the Bug and Poison types. Since Gen 2, Poison has resisted Bug and Bug has taken neutral damage from Poison, but in Gen 1, both types were super-effective against each other, meaning the Bulbasaur line had a 4x weakness to Bug. Also, it should specifically be done in Red to get a Scyther from the Game Corner, because you can guarantee Dratini as your Safari Zone encounter since it's the only eligible Super Rod encounter and the two of them are probably more useful than any other Safari Zone encounter.

Movie idea featuring those 6 you took to the elite 4: Knives Out style whodunnit. Bump it up to an R rating, substitute some of the humor for some over the top violence, and, of course, have Paltrow be the cold-blooded killer in the end. Jason Segel ends up being the hero, but, like, not intentionally. He just keeps accidentally stumbling into clues and revelations. Spike Lee is very much trying to be the hero but never figures anything out until he walks into the final scene when everything is already over, glances around, and yells "I KNEW IT!" Something like that.

The first time I played through Sapphire when it came out and got to the part where Kyogre and Groundon where fighting I thought that in Ruby the situation was inverse with the whole ocean dry and Kyogre standing in a little pool of water.

I'm a bit late to the party, but this was a dope series. I tried as hard as I could to nuzlocke Inclement Emerald myself, but couldn't manage to get past gym 2 without ending the run abruptly. I'm incredibly impressed by your plays, and that mummy strat against Mega Kangaskhan was genius. Happy to see that you had as much fun as I did playing it.

I just discovered your channel a few days ago, and I really love these Nuzlocke videos! They've encouraged me to get back into Nuzlockes myself; I'm currently going through a hardcore randomizer Nuzlocke of Black 2 where all the Pokemon's types, stats, and movepools are randomized. Not knowing what a given Pokemon is capable of before facing it is incredibly stressful, but in a fun way. If you're looking for more difficult fangames to do challenges in, might I suggest my absolute favorite fangame, Pokemon Reborn? It's not a romhack, but rather a fully original fangame made in a modified version of RPGMaker. It features something called Field Effects, which basically allows your opponents to get crazy buffs from their environment, but also allows you to interact with and transform those environments in various ways. They're hard enough to play around in normal playthroughs, so I would be very curious to see what kind of crazy strats you'd need to play around them in a Nuzlocke! And even besides the Field Effects, Reborn has some absolutely brutal challenges - as hard as some of the fights in these romhacks seem, none of them hold a candle to the infamous Glass Factory Gauntlet. Very highly recommended, given how much you seem to be enjoying these difficult romhacks!

Okay so the movie would be a about a group of friends who haven’t seen each other in five years; however due to a tragic car accident, a close friend of all of theirs dies. It’s revealed that their friend has a child that needs to be raised, however the last piece of their will that would dictate who would raise the child goes missing. Coincidentally this page also has information on the massive estate of this friend and who would inherit it. The twist would be that one of the close nit friends murdered the friend, we just don’t know who.
